Lynne, That is great news that you had a lovely weekend visit with your son. You know sometimes they need to step away to see how blessed they are in to have such great parents. Stick to your guns on the two months and few days; it will fly by quickly and then he will surely appreicate coming home for good.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

well... i must say i am in awe of ya'll too...

since coming to vj... i have really felt a lot of empathy, sympathy and friendship with a number of good people... i know that it is a net only friendship with most everyone (except joel and karen)... but, i am honored that those of you cared enough to come in... sit down... and read my innermost thoughts and feelings... and even commented... thank you for that... and thank you for your friendships... any support in this past-faced world is much needed...

i reallllllllllllllly appreciate you guys...

*hugs*

Lynne

Mary... you could not be any more correct...

my son thought that the grass might be "greener" on the other side... at his dad's house... but... i feel sure that he will realize just how good he has it at home...

i know that a lot of kids now-days has their own bedroom, tv, dvd, games, etc... but, it is like I told my son... those are PRIVILEGES... those are not necessities... and he has to understand how very hard i work for him to have those privileges... and that it is not right for me to provide his privileges and not also meet my own NEEDS...

As much as he is the center of my world... he is not the center of the whole universe... and the world does not stop just because Dev is not happy...

He sure gave me lots of hugs this weekend... hehe... and i admit it... i ate it up... i enjoyed that so much!!! At the moment, he isn't getting home-cooked meals... he has to go to bed @ 9 pm because his dad is a truck driver and has to go to bed early... thus, awaking early... so he has to wake up @ 5:30 am... this is his schedule at his dad's home...

At our home... he had to go to bed @ 9:30 pm... and get up @ 6:45 am... and I would drive him to school... and pick him up... wow... what perks, huh? But, he has to learn that I am more than just a chauffer (sp?) and mama money-bags to him... and guess what? he wants to come home again next weekend for a visit... hehe

Told him that my home was always his home... he was never shut out... that there was just rules he had to obey!

:)

thought i would revive this thread... just to let everyone know that dev is back at home... with a new outlook... and a new attitude... seems he is HAPPY to do his part around the house... ie: picking up his dirty clothes, etc...

and i am soooooooooooooooo happy to have my son back home... he says he didn't know how good he actually had it at home... until he had to leave it... and all of his stuff... now, there are no more cd's on the floor of his bedroom, no clothes on his bedroom floor... but, he is still a teenager... lol... just turned 15...

will get a driver's book to let him study through the summer... to prepare for his learner's permit...

ONLY if he continues with his good behavior...

thanks guys for your support... your love... your understanding... and most of all... for your prayers and friendship...
