OMG!

I guess I'm just as excited as the rest of you - we are waiting for our NOA2, hopefully we'll get it late next week. Once that's in order my fiance wants to come out to stay with me for a couple of months, being apart is too hard for us. That involves him quitting his job tho, but he works as a barber, so he'll get a new job within a week of his return to usa. I'm just wondering if this will have a really negative outlook on our application? He'll be back in time to get a new job before my interview - plus his taxes will be filed this week so he can document his finances for my inerview.

Any thoughts?

That can work. If the job he obtains when you are having your interview does not meet the poverty levels (annualizing his income) then you'd need a cosponsor.

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

I remember at my interview they wanted proof of my fiance's employment. I don't know if your embassy will want that, though. Might want to double-check just in case!

They do. They want a letter from the place how long he has been there and job title maybe salary too...

Why don't you go and visit him? That way he doesn't have to quit his job, and you won't have the worry about how it will look throughout the rest of the petition?! As said though, after NOA2, things do go quite fast. I would maybe wait a couple of weeks, and once you have your interview date, if its a few weeks away, squeeze in a trip to go and visit then!!

Yeah, maybe a co sponsor will be good anyways. If i could take time off work I'd go there instead, but economical it's better for him to do the traveling at this point. I haven't really looked into what kinda papers (expect his taxes) he needs to document, but since he's self employed - he just rents a chair in a barber shop - i would think the time he's been at one shop doesn't matter? And how about his saving accounts and trust fund, any opinion if his case will be stronger when filing for the economical support? We're waiting anyways to the NOA2 comes and planning from there :-)

It seems really hard now to wait, but you do have a lifetime together (hopefully). I would stick it out and just wait and use the money you save doing that to help start your new life together.
