With a filing date of Feb 10 and still no NOA2, my fiancée and I are getting a little disappointed with the process and the waiting game. We are at day 95 since filing and wondering if, getting married and doing a CR-1, perhaps would had been a quicker way for us. Thank God we had a chance of seeing each other recently spending quality time together, however, the not knowing when we get approved is definitely killing us bringing our hopes down ???. I'd be nice to hear something, anything, from USCIS so we can move on with our lifes and plans to be together as family. Any other early February filer still waiting for approval and on the same boat as we? Please keep us in your prayers ?

On the other hand, is great to see so many consular interviews scheduled for the near future as well as several cases at the NVC stage, good luck to everyone!

Our NOA1 date was Feb 8 and no NOA2 yet. We get disappointed to see we don't hear anything while a lot of people are moving on so fast. But hey, we cannot control this process, waiting is a part of this game. Hanging there!

How do I get the DHL number to track?

If you want to track the papers form NVC to the embassy, there is no DHL tracking number, you "track by reference" like this: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/302190-dhl-tracking-from-nvc-to-us-embassy/

However, there is a certain percent of accuracy, you can only guess which one is yours, but approximately it can give you an idea if you know when it left NVC(by calling for instance).

I wish I could but it's impossible to leave my work right now. I'm hoping I can pick her up mid June if all goes as planned. As long as I see her when I wake up every morning I'll be the happiest man alive.

Mine is scheduled June 3rd 6:40am ?

I called NVC today and I received my case #!! ^_^ and it was also mailed out today to the embassy.

Do you have to wait to start the ds-160? Is there anything additional that I can do now that I have the nvc number or do I have to wait until it reaches the consulate?

We have started already to gather the info for the next packet, affidavit, intent, police rec, and etc.

Congrats! You don't have to wait to start DS160, you can fill it in and just save(on the site or to your computer) to come back to it later on, but before you actually digitally sign it(click the button at the end), after you sign it you can't correct it anymore and will have to make a new one in case you want to change something. After it's signed all you can do is print out/send to email the confirmation page which I believe will be needed for your interview(my coutnry is different from yours so here the rules may differ too, for that read the according embassy information to be up-to-date).

We're still waiting to hear back from Montreal for our packet 3 (which we need to get packet 4.. so I can schedule the interview). Also waiting to hear back about their mistake for my name! I feel like this is where it'll get more frustrating. I just want to be able to get an interview date and not stress out about Montreal not having any openings up in the next couple of months. And maybe perhaps be able to stop freaking out about them mixing up my name, that'd be nice.

You don't have to wait to send that. Once they receive your petition you can send packet 3. I sent mine the day they received it and was able to book my appointment the next day. I can't book yet because they have no dates open in July, which is when we want to book but still....

02/01/2016- Mailed in K-1 petition to Dallas lockbox

04/11/2016- NOA2 hard copy received

Oh, I already sent it! I'm just waiting to hear back for Packet 4. It's just that they haven't said anything so we're still on the Packet 3 part. I haven't heard anything back at all, minus the automated stuff.
