I sent couple of mails to them but did not here from them for 10 days now. How long does it take them to reply ?

Do they have a number?

Other posts looks like they received favorable recommendations for non-objection waivers very shortly.

Goky,

DOS does not approve the waiver couple days after receiving NOS. Some people stayed in that for some time. Since you have not received a USCIS notice of receipt of your waiver, and the online status does not show a recommendation. you can safely assume that DOS is still processing your case.

If you want to contact the waiver division, the only way is to email them @ 212ewaiver@state.gov

They don't have a phone number and their older phones do not work anymore (Tried them all). They usually take 2 weeks to respond to emails.

Best of luck

I actually reached department of state public inquiries department and they also confirmed that waiver division don't have phone number. 2 Months looks like a lot to me but i must admit any time would have looked a lot.  Hope to get it approved shortly. Did you receive a receipt from DOS about receival of Non-Objection statement was received or any receipt form DOS during your process.

Thanks a lot.

You see all the updates on their website: https://j1visawaiverstatus.state.gov/

Otherwise, no communications occur between you and the DOS after you submit your documents.

The USCIS, on the other hand, communicate every step to you and let you know when they receive the application, re-route it, make a decision and when they mail you the decision.

Bad luck of me. DOS favorable recommendation sent 12/21/2016.  Not receiving anything from USCIS until today 2/2/2017. Call USCIS they said I am not in their system.

The DOS status website seems not to be working. When entering a case number it says:

An Error Has Occurred

This page has encountered an unexpected error. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Hope this isn't serious -- remembering that since yesterday the DOS has a new Secretary, Mr. Rex Tillerson.
