Hi All,

My case is based on J1 No objection, and I am freaking out because it has been almost 2 months since I have been waiting from USCIS.

Here is my rough timeline.

- DOS favorable recommendation on December 03, 2016.

- USCIS received the case on vermont center on December 13, 2016,

I am still waiting USCIS.  Any ideas  ? How long did you guys wait ? Is it normal for USCIS to take such a long time ?

Thanks,

John.

Don't remind me.

I had my case rejected initially due to wrong payment amount ($215 sent instead of $120) and my no-objection letter sent back first time as well (november 9) as my country's embassy had my name written on the envelope containing the letter as a sender.

Plus I have an advisory opinion dragging since 8/2015 awaiting response from my home town since they couldn't decide whether I received government funding or not (did not).
I believe that is why they approved my case so quickly once they received the NOS.

Otherwise, no updates from USCIS

Hi,

Did your case was processed by Vermont center ? It seems you have the exact the same timeline as mine. But I did not get any response from USCIS.

I called up the USCIS and also got connected to the L2 immigration officer. However, they mentioned this is within normal processing time and currently they are processing October cases. This is the same info that's available on the internet in the USCIS website which is as of Nov. 30, 2016. The officer mentioned, normally it takes 2-2.5 months. So I am hoping it should be anytime now. Finger's crossed!!

It looks like probably 3 cases got approved in the Dec. 13 USCIS received date timeline. One is Jan.6 and 2 others Jan 25. I have been waiting and don't know how much longer...

WOW. That is really fast. I also had similar issues like yours where I submitted wrong fee, and my application returned from DOS. It has been 5 months since I first submitted all documents to USCIS. I did not expected USCIS will take this long.

My documents forwarded to USCIS on Dec, and USCIS received it on Dec 13. I have not heard anything from them since then.

Ah, no I'm still waiting for DOS (hopefully) favorable recommendation, so I'm still behind you in the process. I guess you can take away two weeks of Christmas break from that processing time.

I was wondering if any of you guys are waiting for the final recommendation of the USCIS on your no-objection waivers to send AOS.

If so, please check Note 2 in the following link
