We are still waiting. Got EAD a week ago. Had an interview for I-485 scheduled then USCIS canceled it and haven't rescheduled since.

Really, when was your interview originally for and did they say why they canceled? Maybe they'll approve you without an interview.

I was scheduled for June 28th. The next week it was canceled. So we called USCIS several times and they confirmed it was canceled but didn't know why. The letter just says "due to unforeseen circumstances..."

Guys, I need your opinion or in this case personal knowledge. So I finally just got some news on my parents case, their case has been stuck on "ready to be scheduled for an interview" since April 11, 2016. So I called USCIS to check if an interview had been scheduled and spoke to a tier 2 representative, she told me the case was now transferred to our local office and that we should be getting an interview date anytime now. My question is, every other time I have spoken to tier 2 reps. they've all told me that the case would only be sent over to our local office after they "opened a spot" and scheduled the interview. Now I'm confused, if they usually only transfer cases over to local office after an interview had been scheduled, why did they send ours without having an interview date? Is this normal?

We are still waiting for any progress on the I-485. We just moved out of the city this week too, but we submitted the change of address form on the USCIS site... hopefully that does not cause any issues.

Out of curiosity, are there any February filers still waiting on their I-485 approval/ Interviews? I just got my EAD/AP card in the mail today and I'm waiting for my interview.

We're still waiting for any news on our I-485. It's been stuck on "Your case was received" since February 29. Since we got the combo card a few weeks ago, we decided to go ahead and book tickets for a trip to Colombia in August, which are the only dates we have open to travel. But that's a bit of a risk, since based on current processing times for the San Antonio office our application may be processed in August. So It's the only point in this whole process where we're actually hoping they take their time sending us notice and scheduling an interview. I'd hate for them to schedule our interview in the middle of our travel dates and have to pay extra to change our tickets, but knowing USCIS they'll find a way to mess up our plans somehow. :/. Lots of good luck to everyone still waiting for news!

Congrats Abby! It took us a couple days. It's sent via USPS priority, so I think max it should be 2 business days from when they send it.

Just thought I would share my experience here as I continue to be shocked by the lack of accountability I've encountered at all stages of this process.

Word of the wise, DO NOT HAND OVER YOUR FOREIGN DRIVERS LICENCE TO THE DMV. I had read here a couple times that they have no right to it being a document issued by a foreign government but when I went to get my Florida drivers licence yesterday they told me I had to surrender it in order to get an 8 year Florida licence. I was weary, but fine, what could go wrong?

Today I received a message on Instagram from a stranger with a picture of my Canadians drivers licence saying he picked up my fully intact licence out of the garbage in a near by city. My husband and I had no idea if this was just a good samaritan trying to do the right thing by returning it, or if he's trying to exploit this some how. So we were cautious in what information we gave and asked if it could be sent to the address on the licence.

I feel dumb for believing that the DMV would actually take the time to destroy or at least invalidate a private document (that doesn't expire for another 8 months I might add) and I am fuming. It makes me wonder what else is tossed out so carelessly!

I had my interview at USCIS New Orleans office this morning. We we're approved online 5 mins after leaving the building. Everything went pretty smooth. We only waited 25 mins and were asked a few basic questions.
