just got off the phone with tier 2 agent. she told me to expect 6-9months. I will get approved by year end as they are severely backlogged at this time. bs. by that time they might give me rfe for expired medical....and I will have to spend more money on the medical

Same here. I'm sure I'll be scheduled for an interview around the time I filed this year. I already know that I will have to redo my medical...

I also think it's BS cuz if that was true then why people who sent out there package months after mine got approved eaither by interview or just an email saying they are approved

I just think they are super slow or just grab a random file

My medical is expired by oct 19 so I hope I get approved before then and not pay more for medical just cause USCIS is super slow

I agree Mash. It's hard to understand how they really prioritize the cases. I think they randomly pick up the cases and work on them!

Out of Curiosity, is there any February filler besides me STILL waiting for the EAD?

Can't believe I just reached the 5 months mark and still nothing is moving. I contacted the ombudsman last night. Hopefully things will get moving.

Hi guys, haven't been posting much as I've been really busy with life and work. But I just wanted to check in still now luck with the 130 or 485. My god, what's going on in New York they're taking forever. My husband is going to the congressman's office this Wednesday to see if they can help because at this rate we won't be able to go to Honduras for Christmas as we had planned. Will report back on what they say

I just discovered this forum and am wondering if anyone else has a similar experience to me. I had my interview in Chicago almost 2 months ago (first week of June), and we were verbally told we would be approved and to expect the greencard in approx 4 weeks. The i-485 case online is still set to Ready to Schedule interview".

I have been in the US on and off for a decade on work visas (First an L1, then E3 visas). I met my wife in October 2013, and we married in January of this year. We have lived together since June 2015. The interview appeared to go very well, a few questions, we had plenty of photos, joint lease, insurance, etc. We were never separated. My wife is a high income earner, so we are nowhere near poverty line guidelines, and neither of us has ever been arrested/charged with a crime.

We lodged a request for status mid last week with our Senator, who just came back with "our application is in review, we can lodge another request in 30 days". Does anyone know what this means? It almost looks like a standardized response.

I have a 12 month EAD/AP card in April. However we were planning on taking an extended international vacation later this year which feels risky without the green card (ie if a RFE came up while out of the country and without good access to all documentation, or even worse, a denial if there is administrative issue and needing to start process again from overseas).

Interview - June 6th 2016 in Chicago.

Hi everyone i finally have a date for interview being 29th august at 910am! HOWEVER i need to change this appointment due to being almost 9 months pregnant WITH TWINS and my due date is 4th september.

They have also scheduled it to be at an office FOUR hours away!! When they have an office an hour away. I will not be able to travel with newborn twins for a while let alone for four hours car ride each way

Anyone experienced changing appointments or offices (if thats even a thing)

I hate that i have to have an interview and i hate even more (i had a feeling theyd schedule it at a ridiculous time of my pregnancy!!) that ive waited this long and now i cant even go.......

HELP!!!!
