Any advice on preparation of interview??? What do I need to prepare??

Hi,

The first 3 letters in your case # when NVC sends it in your email will tell you what consulate you will be having your interview. Example, my embassy is Port of Spain, Trinidad so my 3 letters at the start of my case # is PTS.

From Google, I see that the following is for India:

Bombay (Mumbai) embassy is BMB,

Madras (Chennai) embassy is MDR and

New Delhi embassy is NWD.

So you will have to wait until NVC assigns you a case # before you can know which embassy will be undertaking your visa interview.

NB: Consulate General Kolkata currently does not process immigrant visas.All immigrant visa applicants of Kolkata Consular district will have their applications processed by the American Consulate General in Mumbai.

Yup, It will most likely be Mumbai. Chennai doesn't do Immigrant visas anymore...only Mumbai and New Delhi.

Please help me my husband is a us citizen and we applied for i130 (april 2015) for me and my daughter but unfortunately we mistaken apply for my i130 only we didn't know that we have to apply for 2 i130 we just apply for 1 because we thought it is already covered after uscis approved (november 2015) we discovered that our daughter has no petition so we applied again (november 2015) at uscis and we request to expedite her case february 17 2016 uscis approved her case but my case is at nvc feb 1 scan date and we are just waiting for case complete. What should we do? Is it possible she can join me medical and interview?

This is an unusual case.

When USCIS approved her (NOA2)?

I would call and./or email NVC explaining the situation, mention her USCIS receipt number and request to merge your cases, (I doubt she has NVC case number yet)
