My husband is from Egypt. I am from US. We are 11+ years difference with me being the older one. We visited several times and included itineraries/boarding passes, but we also included a few pics of us traveling together (in and out of Egypt), pics with friends, Facebook messages...They never worried about our age difference. Or...if they did, they never told us.

I have seen many many similar posts, very common situation.

I am a American and my husband is also Turkish and we have almost a 10 year age difference. It wasn't an issue for us when we did the K-1. We submitted letters from friends and family, a few chat transcripts, pictures with our families and plane tickets.

Sorun olmaz inşallah. Merak etme.

My wife and I have an age gap larger than any mentioned so far. At the K1 interview, the age gap was briefly mentioned; it was not a problem. We had been communicating for 18 months before the interview. Also, we met three times and I was in Moscow when the interview was scheduled.

It is important to provide plenty of relationship documentation. It is OK to bring extra documentation to the interview.

VJ has an excellent set of sample interview questions. Be sure to review these questions thoroughly.

Good luck.

10 years age difference is not a huge problems for the male being the older one in the relationship. It becomes much more questionable when the female is 10 years older than her fiance'.

I know love knows no age difference but the CO and USCIS have different opinions on that matter. So, if you are a lady and your fiance' is 10-15 years older than you, you are in much better position to prove the Genuine Love relationship!

Good Luck to you all!

Age difference doesn't matter. Your proof of meeting within 2 years seems sufficient. What you need to also focus to on is making sure you really know your fiance since that will be the basis of your interview questions.

It depends if your fiance is a woman or not. In some cultures you face more scrutiny if the woman is older than the man by a significant number of years. That said, proving the bonafides of your marriage is important, and with good evidence you should have no issues.
