Itinerary Ticket once K1 Visa is APPROVED

Hi,

For example, my K1 visa is approved. once I travel to US, do I need to get a 2 way tickets or just one way is fine? I am not sure, but I have read somewhere that this K1 beneficiary travelled to US and the Immigration officer asked her why her ticket is one way only? It doesn't make sense because K1 means we intend to get marry before 90 days arriving in the US. So, can anyone from here confirm if whether we should book 2 way tickets or just one way?

One way is fine. Purchase whichever is less expensive.

I think 2 way is cheaper than one way ticket but yah ill check which one is cheaper

As has been stated many times in many threads: If you buy a round-trip ticket, be sure to cancel the return portion after you've entered the U.S. Keep records of when you did this and with whom (airline agent's name). Try to get a printed or e-mailed confirmation of the cancellation. Failure to do so can result in huge problems at AOS time.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

Ohh!! I didnt know that! But well the safe way to do so is to get a one way ticket then rather than to take the risk if I forget to cancel the return ticket. Many thanks for the advise! I'll keep that in mind.
