06/07/2018 (Thursday) NOA-2 was APPROVED. 172 days.

Congrats to all the new citizens and those who are waiting for their ceremonies! And, good luck to those still waiting for interviews!

USCIS, ever determined to give people last minute heart attacks, today responded to the long since forgotten, and accidentally submitted while trying to make an infoPass appointment, "Service Request" that they were going to respond to "no later than June 24, 2016" regarding the name on my wife's certificate. Since her ceremony is one week from tomorrow and we weren't expecting any more communication from USCIS, it was quite a stressful moment between receiving it and reading it.

Fortunately, the 3-week late response was only "make an infoPass to resolve the issue" and not something like "We have placed you in line for a rescheduled oath ceremony." Heart attack(s) averted!!!

And, in typical USCIS fashion, it was addressed to her in the name that she has used since getting married and that she wants to continue using, but that USCIS said she couldn't use for naturalization until the judge signs off on it next week! :rofl:

Only 8 more days of this!!! :bonk:

Feb. 12, 2016 - Sent N-400 to USCIS (3-year rule)

Feb. 19, 2016 - NOA1

Mar. 14, 2016 - Biometrics

June 2, 2016 - Interview - Recommended for Approval

My wife received her US Passport today. She applied for it the same day as her Oath. We paid for it to be expedited, so in our case it arrived in just under 2 weeks.

Congrats on everyone's progress here! Things are really starting to move for everyone.

It sounds like passport processing seems to be slowing down.
