I got an email yesterday from USCIS saying the error had been corrected (the one I called about last week) and my case is in initial review. Yay!

No

Average timeframe for them to approve cases is 5 months. We are lucky we got CSC because they are running 2-3 months.

Be patient it will happen.

I posted yesterday some cases that are not approved yet and some are. They are doing random cases it seems.

It looks like Jan filers are just now trinkling in so we are all probably a week or two off our ESTIMATED NOA2 date from here on VJ.

Just remember VJ NOA2 dates on our timelines are ESTIMATES.

USCIS shows 5 months.

I ran a poll which I do every week for the pending cases on VJ since I am not on the igorlist or the other one where you pay to see case numbers and approvals

Don't stress about it. Occupy yourself and try not to think about the k1 stuff too much (except getting stuff ready for the interview) and it'll go by quicker than if you obsess over it :)

Try and occupy yourself with other things. I am making decorations for my wedding, keeping busy with hobbies etc. It's easy to get sucked in to worrying about when the NOA2 will come. It'll get here eventually.

I know this may or may not be jumping ahead of time.... but what I've been doing is reading up on the AOS process and making myself little notes here and there. I for one know once my fiancée gets here it's going to be somewhat hectic getting situated in our new place and having the wedding and all. So I'm going to try and be very well prepared so that the AOS paperwork packet will be as easy as possible to put together. (The interview stage process and docs we already went over and are ready to go.)

Your six plus months away from AOS. I'm playing devils advocate, but what happens if they change a form. You are going to have to redo it. The AOS is very easy and should take you about 2-3 hours to complete. I've made it an easy process on my website http://dennyeyberg.wix.com/filipino-am-visa#!aos---where-do-i-start/c1vho and there are good guides here on VJ to follow. Of course, you have the VJ community to help if you have questions.

True, they could very well revise a form between now and then. I just printed the guide and was making notes along the way, trying to stay busy lol

I'll take a look at your website too, so the AOS process is more uniform and not so much country-specific, right?

Here also January and NOA1 on January 28, I wish it goes faster

Tasha

Hi,

We have the same NOA1 date on January 28th. The latest approved application that I have seen on Igor's List is January 14th so we are getting closer. I'm so appreciative that we are being processed at the California Service Center and it's good to see the applications that are steadily being approved each week. I just enjoy seeing our number in the list going decreasing each day, which means more and more applications are being approved and then we're are next. I think it is very important at this time to make all the necessary preparations with your home and to look into what type of employment your soon to be spouse may be interested in once he/she is approved to work. This website's forums are phenomenal and very informative, so you can also read them and be knowledgeable of next steps in the process after the application is approved. Best of Luck and enjoy the journey! :goofy:

I see a few Jan Filers are getting their NOA2. Mine was received Jan 6, at what point should I start freaking out because I haven't heard anything back yet?

I have been observing the approval of applications and it seems that are approaching these applications in order. But I am not sure why some are skipped. Maybe the applications are given out to various adjudicators and some more faster than others. Or maybe it is dependent on the complications of the various cases. I know it can be hard to deal with. I would hope for the best and look for you to get approved in the next week or two. The freaking out part should definitely happen once 5 months has passed because the website says that is how long it can take to get approval.
