Plz Help!! F2A Adjustment of Status in Jan 2016.

Happy New Year Visa Journey!

I want to know about new filing system introduced for F2A (family of Permanent Residents). My priority date is before the new cut off date for filing(June 15, 2015). Therefore, my case is eligible to file for Adjustment of Status in January 2016 but I am not currently prepared to proceed.

Is it necessary to file for Adjustment of Status in January 2016 or I can wait and file in February / March 2016. I am worried because the dates for filing might move forward in Feb/March 2016. I don't want to miss the deadline.

you won't be going through adjustment of status, you will be going through consular processing in your country and not in the US

the new bulletin only shows you how early the NVC could contact the petitioning for further processing of forms, payments and documents, that doesn't mean that they will, so you still have time to prepare the documentation

No, I am currently outside the US. But I will be there at the end of January or mid February. Can I apply in February when I get there or it would be too late?

Thank you for the reply aleful, but I believe Adjustment is possible according to the new visa bulletin, but I still need more information.

I also hold F1 Student visa but it will take some time to renew that for my upcoming semester as I am on vacations. So I was considering my visitor visa to enter and continue my studies through adjustment, which would suggest that my intentions are not just to enter and adjust but I have been there already for last 2.5 years as a genuine student?
