My husband now ex-husband became a US citizen in May, 2015 asked for a divorce in June 2015. He tells me that he's going to Nigeria to get married in April 2016. Is there anything I can do about this? I do understand if there's nothing I can do about it.

Thanks! He is my pass, but he does want to get her here. I can care less about who he's with I should have taken the time to post my question better. I'm just trying to see if I can do anything on his behalf. I know that he will try to get her here.

You can do nothing. He is a citizen now. He is eligible to remarry. So he will marry her. Get her a Visa or vice versa. You know the drill.

Maybe you people think I'm upset about this so let me end this now..You all have a very blessed holiday season! Remember to always keep HIM first!

I'm sorry you're going through this. Sometimes events in life play out not like we intended. Only advice I can give is to know everyone is accountable for their actions on judgement day. If u feel he wronged you, forgive him and leave him to God. It's better for you in the long run. Hugs

1/15/2016 Called NVC and got case/invoice number logged into this site to pay fees, pick agent -> https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx 1/15/2016 picked agent DS-261

1/18/2016 paid aos fee

1/28/2016 review 261 to get iv fee unlocked ( unlocked once I did review,was taking to long)

2/1/ 2016 sent AOS & IV packets together to nvc while I waited for iv fee to open to save time.

2/4/2016 paid IV Fee and waited to do ds260

2/3/2016 nvc received aos and iv packets(scan date)

2/7/2016 ds260 completed and now waiting for cc

♧CASE COMPLETE. .. march 8th

3/11/15 interview email

4/20/15 shots 4/25/15 rest of medical exam

INTERVIEW APRIL 27TH @8:30

April 27th 221g for additional documentation and placed in administrative processsing.

June 20th submitted evidence requested

June 23rd case was touched by embassy

August 1st case was touched again.

AUGUST 16TH embassy called and wants a new co sponser yet he met requirements.

Found a new co-sponsor

Handed in aos sept 11th

Set 18th another update

Sept 28th update and embassy called

SEPT 29TH ISSUED FINALLY

OCT 2nd visa in hand

POE October 22nd 2016

It sounds like ladybeth wants to help her ex-husband's new wife come to the US. A little strange...he doesn't sound so ex....

You can always offer to co-sponsor if his income isn't enough to bring your ex-husband's new wife over.

You can always offer to co-sponsor if his income isn't enough to bring your ex-husband's new wife over.

I wasn't 100 percent sure, maybe I understood wrong. Either way, good luck to OP.

a) she is thankful that she is off the hook for I864 affidavit of sponsorship.. i think she sponsored him.

b) she wishes him all the best, yes co-sponsorship or actually give him some emotional support. Some people part for the best not the worst.

c) find a new partner, soon you wouldnt careless who your ex is once you find a new love.
