Only Dept. of State US consulates abroad issue visas to enter the US. Visas to enter the US are not processed and issued within the US.

Attending a convention/trade show is not the same as working at one. You said a US company needed your services there. What services? Are you being paid for these services?

your case is in NVC/ has fiancee sent in all reqquired documents to NVC?

K-1 applicants do not send anything to the NVC.

Thanks guys for your help.

So to the question: Can I do the interview inside the US? It is the clear that the answer is NO.

Regarding the tradeshow question, let me reformulate the question to make it easier:

- Can I attend a trade show in the US as exhibitor but NOT get paid by the US company in VWP?

- Can I attend a trade show in the US as exhibitor but NOT get paid by the US company in a K1 visa?

(I have a cooperation contract with a French company, not US company, but the trade show is in the US)

THANKS!

When is the trade show?

HOw long will you be in US for this?

your case is in NVC/ has fiancee sent in all reqquired documents to NVC?

these are the things VJ members need to know to give you honest answers

If you are coming for 10 days in January, and will be back to Spain by end of January, you are probably ok?????? just really guessing

And USCIS is not dependent on federal funds / it is paid solely by our fees

they do not hurt for money

ain't no doc intake at NVC for a k-1 visa, sorry.

as to the OP's delimma? Best to self-schedule for the k-1 visa after the trade-show is over, not before.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

In your first post you said it was a US company, not a French one.

Thanks Tarzan!

Yes sorry, the company is French but they have a subsidiary in the US, so I would be helping their staff in the US through the French one

Well it would be up to the US Subsidiary to sort out your work visa.
