Reply to the RFE asap.

I've seen people get a RFE and it hasn't delayed the process that much, while others it has.

Okay that makes sense. Thanks.

I was worried because i called them up and told them that my 765 and 485 both had:

"Notice Was Returned To USCIS Because The Post Office Could Not Deliver It"

And they told me it was an RFE for the 485 so they would resend it. Before I hung up I also said "hey what about my 765, that must be an RFE also right?
And she checked it and told me she'd also send that out too. I received 2 RFE's in the mail some days later that were both for the 485, so I figured the whole case must be held up on the 485. So they have received my response to the RFE now, and the 485 has been updated to say response was received, but the 765 still has that same message. I was hoping they were linked and once they process the 485 the 765 would get approved.

The pausing of processing is not solely related to the I-864. It is related to the I-485 itself and any supporting forms it requires. This site tells you about the process pausing during an RFE for additional evidence and the resetting of the clock for initial evidence > http://www.uscis.gov/forms/tip-sheet-employment-authorization-applications-pending-more-75-days

Makes sense because it's been over 100 days since I got my receipt for my advanced parole, but have heard nothing else.

It must be all held up on the I-485 RFE I received and have no responded to and they have received.

I even got an email in regards to what the hell was going on with my employment authorization (this was before I sent off a reply to the RFE) saying :

" ... USCIS records indicate that we are awaiting your response to our request for additional evidence (RFE) sent to you on September 17, 2015 for an associated case. ..."
