Don't worry, the same happened to me. The status switched to card mailed after four days, and it arrived two days or so after that. You will have it soon!

No change here. Radio silence since the demand for an I-693 after the field office cleverly lost my vaccination history. I sent a follow-up letter yesterday asking for an update - hoping that the nice ISO that interviewed us picks it up and does magic

We where both not expecting to take this long thus we did not apply for advanced parole (my fault on this one). We are already planning for a Chruch wedding in the Philippines next year so will be sending advance parole next week to be in the safe side.

It has been almost 2 months that the wife has been working, so not complaining about that lol...

It just sucks that we still have not buttoned up AOS yet...it would be so nice that my wife already has a greencard.

Last Friday, on July 22nd, we had our in person AOS interview. Our notification date for AOS was way back in December 31st; our case was on the very last day possible. For me, that gives hope to all those still waiting in California. That said, the interview was very straightforward, and we did it. The officer notified us of the acceptance at the time of the interview, and I received updates to the USCIS status site before we even got home.

The questions asked were very basic. And we had ample proof of cohabitation (leases, health insurance, bills, investments, etc). We also had hundreds of photographs.

Now on to the next bit!

Worth remembering that the overseas medical doesn't expire one year from the date it was carried out, it expires if you don't file your AOS within a year of having that medical. As long as you FILE your I-485 WITHIN one year of the medical date, the medical remains valid while that I-485 remains active and being processed, however long that may take. However, the number of recent RFE's asking for a complete new I-693 shows that many USCIS officers clearly do not understand their own rules.

This is what I posted in the AOS November 2015 thread:

"The USCIS' own instructions clearly state that K1 visa holders, applying for AOS and having had an overseas medical within one year of the date of FILING that AOS, DO NOT need to have another medical. You can see their own instructions here (bottom of page 6):

"What if I am a K nonimmigrant visa holder and already had a medical examination overseas?

If you were admitted as a: K-1 fiancé(e) or a K-2 child of a K-1 fiancé(e); or K-3 spouse of a U.S. citizen or a K-4 child of a K-3 spouse of a U.S. citizen; and 3. A. B. You received a medical examination prior to admission, then: You are not required to have another medical examination as long as you file your Form I-485 within one year of an overseas medical examination, and: C. (1) (a) The panel physician did find a class A medical condition, you received a waiver of inadmissibility, and you have complied with the terms and conditions of the waiver.

Even if a new medical examination is not required, you must still show proof that you complied with the vaccination requirements. If the vaccination record (DS 3025) was not properly completed and included as part of the original overseas medical examination report, you will have to have the Part 7. Vaccination Record completed by a designated civil surgeon. In this case, you must submit Parts 1., 2., 4., and 7. of Form I-693.""
