Great way to end the year..... Biometrics Letter I-797C arrived today Dec 31.

Appointment for Jan 11th as others above.

Surprise is..... we can do it here in Nashville and not have to drive to Memphis or Atlanta!!

This part of the Journey is so much nicer than dealing with the Black Hole of Texas and the random way they picked your I-129F file.

In looking over filers in the last few months its seems like this process is a lot more organized and unless you have a RFE, the timing between all of us is predictable and orderly. Nice to finally see our tax dollars and fees at work... Like it should.

My husband and I arrived back in Saint Louis from Christmas in Rhode Island. The biometrics letter was in the mailbox yesterday, must have been there at least a week or more. Appointment is on 1/5/2016 for biometrics. Anyone know when we should all expect to have our interviews? I'm hoping we will not have to have one since he's been here in the US on various student VISAs for many years.

And once we receive an approval on any of the cases... what happens after that?

You can get RFE's up to and including at your interview. As for after approval you should receive whatever card the approval is referring to in the mail as well as an approval notice I would imagine.

The Biometrics are not only important for your AOS, but if you filed for EAD and AP, the pictures in the biometrics become that card.

AP and EAD are supposed to be addressed in 90 days from your NOA1. Lately they have approving them within 60 which is nice.

Another interesting move is that in many of the AOS applications they have skipped the EAD and AP and have granted your AOS Card (Green Card) without an interview and within 90 days of NOA1 which is amazing.

I am curious if this is part of the massive printing of Green Card stock rumored by some political websites. If true, then we may be the beneficiaries of this. If you look at past AOS trends, it usually took 6-8 months to get your Green Card therefore you needed the EAD/AP card to work and travel.

So, short answer is wait and keep checking you USCIS case online

Got all hard copies NOA 1 in the mail today , DMV here I come! Finally, I can stop driving with that Quebec license.

I also sent the previous version, but according to http://www.uscis.gov/i-485, you can file with older versions as well.
