Okay, now I'm freaking out. I just mailed our petition on Monday and I only sent the translated version of our marriage certificate from Morocco. Not the Moroccan version as well ! I sincerely hope we won't get an RFE for that. ! ;)

i took my original marriage license (nikah nama) and notarized English translation to the minsitry of foreign affairs Islamabad to get them attested .but they asked me to first get them attested from the culture officers since my wife she is USC ?

is this important to get my marriage license and English translation attest from MOFA since they are already attested by notary public

thank you

ok i we will sed them copy of urdu nikah nama and english translation againthank you so much for great help

Don't forget to attach the copy of RFE letter your received. And you can write your case number(With a pencil if original) on the documents you are sending if you want.

You should ALWAYS send them the original, along with translation from an accredited translation agency.

Too bad you had to wait this long for an RFE, but at least now you know better.

I'd suggest mail them the original marriage certificate as soon as possible to avoid further delays.

All Best.

Aaban, when I gave them translation of my Nikkah Nama it was attested with some Oath Commissioner and Advocate. Islamabad Embassy never had any problem with it but it was not the same case IR1. It was for baby CRBA & US PASSPORT just double check from someone else but according to my knowledge you will be fine without attesting from any special department.

You don't need FO stamp or anything but you must have the stamp of Nikah Registrar and it should be registered in Union council or Cantt Board whichever implies to you.

What did you send the first time? Was it an original? If not, maybe that is why you got the RFE. If you sent a photocopy the first time, maybe you should send an original in this time.

Did you send a certified copy or just a regular copy?

If you have a certified copy I think that would be good but if they asked specifically for the original I think you should send it.

One thing I know is that any document went for immigration process there is 95% chance that you wont get it back. If I only had one original copy and a certified copy I would have sent the certified copy. It seems you don't have a certified copy so go ahead and send the original copy and then apply for a next one.
