Comments : my appointment was at 11:15 AM, even couples whose appointment was at 9 had to wait over 5 hours for their interview. The lady at the desk (receptionist) was extremely rude, however the consular officer was nice and welcoming. I can tell by looking at all the other applicants, that I over did way too much (brought photo albums and letters that weren't even looked at) while other had just 1 folder of documents. When my name was finally called, the consular officer asked me a lot of questions, most about dates and work related topics, but soon after that he said that my visa was approved

Embassy Review : My CR-1 visa interview was conducted at the Jerusalem consulate.
It took forever for the consular officer to call me for the interview, was waiting patiently for over 5 hours (arrived there at 10 AM). Finally my name was called forth, and I was interviewed. The officer seemed pretty friendly, asking me questions about my spouse's job, and when our first meeting was... mid way through the interview, he assured me that I'd be approved, and told me to wait for instructions regarding the next steps. At the end of the interview, I was told that I should expect my visa in the next following days and so it was.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
