Hello everyone I have a question,

so I got denied on my tourist visa try bcs of 214(b), not enough strong relation to my home country.

I stated the reason to visit the US is Tourism and I will stay at my Friends (my Gf)

Problem is I stated my gf (i want to marry) is my FRIEND

Is K1 the right way to go, I am confused what do do, We are about to start the process and I am afraid this will kill my Chance, waste our time efforts and money...there was no intention of any fraud.

Please someone help me

Not a problem. Many folks get denied. Will not affect the K-1 petition.

Probably not, unless they specifically asked you if you had a fiance and you said no.

Have you met in person yet?

The only issue I see is if you have not met in person yet, have you done that?

Yes we met in person, she traveled back to my country already, we have proof of our relationship, and we are planing to see each other soon again.

I am worried bcs I wanted to visit her in US and stated Friend in the tourist visa thing afraid if I stated gf it will get rejected.

And exactly that did happen, the lady who was interviewing me asked "Is She your gf?" witch I answered "NO"

Thank You for Your Help everyone!

Apply for the K1, and when it's time for your interview, explain honestly. Don't try to make up some story to explain why you stated she was a friend when she was actually your fiancée, or you're going to dig the hole even deeper.

I agree. Honesty is always the best policy.

The thing is our relationship is not really that long, like 4months right now (with k1 process its going to be maybe like 7-8-9 months old) but we really want to do this.

My plan was to propose in the US but that did not happen bcs I got rejected.

Being honest is no prob bcs the relationship is neither a fraud or fake, but Im afraid my honest being is not going to be enough?

Is another strategy a better way to go?

Thank you everyone:)

People have been approved having been with each other during a much shorter time. BUT you should make sure to have enough evidence of a bona fide relationship because there is a chance they will look at your denied visa and then your sudden decision to go for K1 as a little bit of desperation to come to the US.

Stick to the K1 route, get more face time meeting and more evidence.

Let her visit you again, petitions take shorter time nowadays.

I agree take your time and don't send the I-129F petition in so soon after your denial it will look like visa shopping. More face time, more evidence etc.

My wife was denied a tourist visa before we did our K-1. I thought a trip to Walt Disney world to get to know her would be awesome, and it would also prove we met each other within the 2 year time frame. On her application she also put "friend," because quite frankly, having never met each other, we were just that. That said, her B-2 denial had absolutely no impact on our K-1. Don't sweat it.

helpful stuff here, THANK YOU PEOPLE

We plan to see echoer in 2 months, its not easy to travel from US to Europe with busy life, responsibilities and that, its pricy too, and ofc we want to (like everyone else here) do this as soon as possible.

The fact that the process might take more than 5 months is bombing us already :/

Also with 2 months till our next together time we were thinking going with the k1 process, 2 months waste of time if we apply after that.

What do u think?

OK so we are going through with the K1, if anyone has more helpful info please do share

More than 5 months? Current wait time according to VisaJourney is between 2 months if your application goes to California and 5 if you go to Texas. More likely it will be California.
