I understand, I thought the same thing.. update and you will see the magic! :).. and I know we all are so in the same boat.. It's so hard being away from my bebe.

I do see the magic! And I like this new date quite a bit more haha.

Thankfully I have a ticket to see my fiance over Christmas. I am making sure to gather evidence I need to prove ties to America though as I have heard horror stories about people getting turned away at POE's when they have open K-1 visa processes.

Haha yeah not making plans is probably much smarter!

It's just that my mom has jumped on and begun spearheading my wedding campaign and she has been very eager to start the process of wedding plans.

She is not an easy woman to calm down!

:):content:

Well I hope your Mom relaxes and enjoys the ride

I also read that you might had made a mistake in the info you added on your timeline. I hope that that is it and that you will get your approval soon.

Fingers crossed :D

When I went through immigration they just asked who I was visiting. I said: "My Fiancé". "How long are you staying?" "5 days" "When was the last time you visited your Fiancé?" "On May. I visited for 8 days, but we weren't engaged back then." He stamped my passport and welcomed me to the US.

I don't know if I was lucky, but being truthful and bringing all my paper work made me confident. I also traveled with to big bags filled with moving stuff that I left in Florida, so that might have been a problem as someone suggest me not to do it, because it might seem like I was already planning to stay.

I read that someone was asked: "when will you be married?", and he answered: "as soon as our K1 Visa is approved" and he was acknowledged for giving a good answer.

Are you the US citizen and you are the one traveling to your fiancé's country? If that is so I don't think you have any problem. It is when the foreign country's citizen travel to the US that it is questioned if they are planning to stay and get married.

I guess the estimated date get pushed back because of the weekend? I check the processing time every day and it moves forward one day each day but then the weekend comes and no work is done on those days. Just my guess. Check your estimated date now and after the weekend to see if it change?

:)

I think part of why they let you through was because your visit was so short. I am planning on staying for a month but I feel like because it's over Christmas that might help? It's a popular time of year for travel obviously, and I have no yet met my fiance's family in person, so at least to me it sounds like a rather legitimate reason for visiting. Also I may bring up the point that I booked the flight quite a few months before my original I-129f was filed. It shows that I was already planning on taking this trip before we were ever engaged, and it was not booked after we started the process as an attempt to ditch the visa and get married on our own.

I am the US citizen traveling to the UK, yes. I thought I would be fine too until I talked with someone on here whose fiance was denied entrance to the UK when she tried to visit. Her stay was for 4 months though, and apparently she did not bring much money considering the extended trip which caused a red flag.

I plan on bringing my itinerary with return ticket (obviously), my NOA-1 and/or NOA-2 as I should have received it by then, a letter of employment, a letter from my landlord indicating that I do have a lease I am actively paying on, and my class schedule as I will be enrolled in classes at a university that begin after my visit is over.

I'm not super worried, it's just even imagining how horrible it would feel to get there after paying for a ticket and planning our getaway only yo get turned away and sent back home is pretty sobering.

I just wanna know what are we going to do once we receive noa2?

From what I've read, when you receive NOA2, it means the USCIS has approved the petition. It is then sent to the NVC.

According to some experienced VJers and the guide, you should wait about 2 weeks after you received the NOA2 to call the NVC for your case number. The NVC will send you petition to the US embassy or consulate where your fiance lives. You can use your case number to track the location/status of your petition through ceac.state.gov

You can read here http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/family/fiance-k-1.html#4 or http:// www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow to get a better understanding.

There are a couple of us over in the Philippine sub-forum who have helped hundreds to thousands to work through the process in the Philippines. I would invite you to be in this forum and the Filipino forum where you can ask questions and get direct answers from those who are processing or have processed through the Philippines.

I also invite you to use the link below (twisting red arrow) in my signature for all the steps, one by one, to process through the Philippines. The information is free and it helps to know what is next, what documents must I use, what order should the be submitted, how many copies and what are the "gotchas" (those nasty little things that you don't know about that can delay your process) I share all those with you and it's FREE to use.

Also, to those who are here and processing through other countries there is one app and a website you need to register and download. They will keep you updated on your progress with UCIS and NVC. The phone app checks your status and when there is a change it will send you notification, keeping you off the phones and having a better life.

The links are below in my signature.

Be sure to warn your Mum, as this process has a lot of U-turns, speed bumps, delays and bridges are out scenarios. Keep her grounded or she or you could loose a lot of money if not careful.

Thanks. We have not put down any money yet and do not plan to until he at least has his interview scheduled.
