Kim Davis could become the first Christian in America jailed as a result of the Supreme Court decision legalizing gay marriage.

“I’ve weighed the cost and I’m prepared to go to jail, I sure am,” Mrs. Davis told me in an exclusive interview. “This has never been a gay or lesbian issue for me. This is about upholding the word of God.”

She is an elected official so she has to resign or be impeached. Her mother held the position for 40 years prior to her running for office. Her son works there also and he will not issued the licenses but the judge says that is ok because there are others in the office who will. She was offered to be permitted to not have to issue the licenses herself but because her name is on the license she refused to comply with the issuing of them.

Her conversion came a few years ago, around the time of marriage to hubby #4 to whom she had previously been married.

If she doesn't relent tomorrow let's see how she likes spending the weekend in jail. Check out twitter @nexttokimdavis it is great fun.
