Done with my medical exam. And thanks God it went well. I will have my interview on the 28th. Is it true wearing pants is not allowed?

Waiting for the case number to be assigned...

What are my steps, guys, after I get it? As far as I learned from this topic, I have to go to CEAC website (could someone give the link to me?) then register there with the case #, log in and fill out DS 261, form for the representative... What happens then, and how soon?

I'm certain you can wear pants- as long as they're not sweatpants! But you are going to the Embassy and want to make a good impression, also because it is a special day... nothing wrong with putting a little effort into your outfit! (F)

Welcome to the club... My 30 days was yesterday... And I called and they said give us 35 days..

I am getting a bit concerned. I don't know why they take longer with some cases. I thought it was across the board that within 30 days you would know if your case was completed or if you had any missing items.

I wonder if the person who was working on my case went on vacation and locked my package away. Maybe they don't even work there anymore.

I filled my Ds 261 back in 8/19 and it is not reviewed yet. I already sent in both the aos and iv documents and I m still waiting for the Ds 261 to be reviewed. Every time I call they tell me to wait.

You need to call and find out why it hasn't been reviewed. That's been way too long. If they say it's locked you need to get a supervisor on the phone to unlock it. If they get to your file and the IV fee hasn't been paid or the DS 260 filled out you will get a checklist and end up just waiting.

Ask direct questions: Is it locked? Are they doing a file review?? Has a supervisor looked into why it's locked? Can I updated the email address on file? If they say they can see it but can't update any it's locked. Don't just wait it out. When mine was locked I saw a guy that chose to wait it out and it took almost 2 months before he got fed up and started making noise.

I completed the DS-261 & paid the AOS fees on August 31, 2015. I am still waiting for the AOS to show PAID & for the DS-261 to be reviewed.

I will be electronically filing so I need to pay the IV fee, submit the DS-260 and get the IV Cover Sheet to submit with the supporting documents. I also can't send my AOS documents because they want all documents sent at the same time.

I called a few days ago and they said it was still locked and to wait until the beginning of next week. How long should I wait before I take your suggestion and ask for a supervisor?

Thank you,

I spoke to someone today and it is like they are trying to say they are so behind because of labor day. Based on what they told me, they haven't even started reviewing my documents. It is like they threw it away only to infuriate me and they are doing a good job.
