Hi everyone,

My PD is November 17, 2015. In September I got the NVC letter inviting me to the file my documents (DS-260 & AOS from my LPR wife). I did so and then NVC confirmed my scan date is 5 January 2017. But now PDs are moving slowly and I’m concerned I won’t get an interview date in time for December 1, the deadline for applying to most US grad schools. If my case is completed soon and when my PD will become current next month (hopefully August), can I ask NVC to schedule interview?

Thanks

NVC is not going to expedite a case  unless the matter is very urgent ..... if you can, just apply for grad school  and defer the acceptance. Deferrals generally last for a year  and im sure within that time you'll be in the US.

Thanks for feedback. I'm confident that I'll get my visa before December 1, and I can also apply as an international student. Just hoping I won't have to wait too long for the interview because I'm based in Manila. Cheers
