I only received 1 email confirmation, I did out aos & documents in one envelope.

I have received one email on 8/29 and another one on 8/31 saying that documents received. I sent AOS and IV documets on same day in the same package but under different envelopes. Do we receive two emails one for AOS and another for IV docments? Thanks.

Hi guys,

So based on you comments it seems that NVC is sending out emails stating that they received the packages (AOS/IV) with the scan date? How long did you guys get an email confirmation saying that they received your docs, from the date you sent them??

Hi MsJC,

I have two cases, mine and my daughter's. I sent my documents through email last Tuesday, and got the first confirmation on Saturday.

For my daughter, I sent her case last Monday and still did not get any response. I think it's because her case was locked (we couldn't review DS-261). We only managed to unlock it last Friday - I called today asking about her documents and the NVC rep said I should pay her AOS fee and do her DS-260 before calling them again :-(

Oh I see. So it takes a few days. Hopefully I get something soon. Or, I should just call and have them to confirm.

Oh wow! I can't believe the rep said that regarding your daughter's case, that sounds mean! :( I hope you get your email confirm on your daughter soon.

I think the only person they really care about is my dad since he is the real sponsor. I included 4 years worth of returns, W2, printout of the entire year's current payroll report for him that said every paycheck number, date, amount and taxes. So kind of like a pay stub but not an actual stub.

Also just called and confirmed CC as of today!!! She said now we are in line for the interview appointment to be made and she doesn't know how long that will take, but i already knew that.

Congrats draga! What is the current interview schedule for your consulate/embassy?

Thank you.

Is it really 3-4 months between CC and interview for us? That seems like a really long time.

Unfortunately that seems to be the case.

The Embassy claims there has been a substantial increase in visa applications over the last year in both the Immigrant and Non-immigrant sections, manpower shortages as resulted in them experiencing a backlog of cases.

I think they can do better. Hopefully they will do better for us. If NVC can improve, anybody else can improve.

I know I've seen them hiring alot so I guess they are trying but It's a real shame. They need to up the pay and maybe they'll be able to get qualified people.

Based on that time frame I guess i'm hoping for too much wanting him here for Christmas.
