it takes a few days for them to respond.

for me it took a while for them to respond. then they asked for more information. then more waiting before getting an email saying they were forwarding request for expediting.

Sure it can take a week or so ... but at the embassy stage.

Per your suggestion, I just called and the lady said she can't even see if the expedite email was received.

She said to wait 5 days just to see what the NVC will do with the email (aka when they respond acknowleding the receipt of the expedite email)

Does this sound accurate? I've seen other posters on here get an email confirmation within 24 hours saying to allow time for embassy to review expedited request.

From the NVC welcome letter -- is the financial documents the AoS package and the supporting documents the IV package?

That is what I understand.

Hi all,

For those who did EP (Electronic Processing) and sent your documents through email, how long did it take for NVC to acknowledge it?

CASE COMPLETE!!!!!!

I just log into CEAC and AOS fee shows N/A. Yessss. My scan date is Aug 7 so it's true that NVC takes 20 days to review the documents now

Wow! Just logged on to CEAC and AOS fee shows "N/A". That's 17 days from our scan date (Aug 10th)! Looks like the NVC is shortening their review times.

Thanks.

I'm trying to put together the packages while I wait to hear from the embassy.

Questions:

1. Does everyone's CEAC say the following on the summary page or does mine say consulate/embassy because of expedite? "After submitting the DS-260, provide all supporting documentation (as listed on the Documents The Applicant Must Submit web page) for each applicant to your Consulate or U.S. Embassy."

The links say N/A so I don't know where to submit yet.

2. For the supporting documents, the last item on the cover sheet says "photocopies" -- is that simply indicating I need to include a photocopy of all the above required items?

3. For the online submission of the package, do I need to include a scanned copy of two passport style photos as well or just bring that to the interview?

4. Under financial documents, under "proof of relationship"-- do they mean marriage certificate, pictures, etc? I don't see how that falls under financial and since we already submitted that with original i-130 petition... or things like a joint bank account (which we also already submitted).

That is what I understand.

Hi all,

For those who did EP (Electronic Processing) and sent your documents through email, how long did it take for NVC to acknowledge it?

It took 7 days for NVC email me. Email contains a .rtf file which says:

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 20-AUG-15. We are experiencing a high volume of incoming mail at this time. Please allow 30 days from the date we received your mail for the NVC to review your documents. We are diligently working to reduce our review time and appreciate your patience. The NVC will notify you after our review if there is additional information required or if we are able to schedule your case for an interview overseas.

Is this the same confirmation email everyone is getting?

I sent two emails, one for IV and AOS one after another, because I had too many little files. I guess this confirmation email is confirmation that both IV and AOS were scanned into their system?

Hi canuk2usa,

Thank you for your response. I was worried because I sent my documents 4 days ago and still have got no response. Somehow I had the impression they would reply in a couple of days.

I am worried because even though I also separated in two emails for AOS and IV, my messages were still above 5mb - in their website they tell us not to exceed this amount. But I just couldn't - for example, my husband scanned his pay stubs for the last 6 months and he is paid weekly, so imagine...

I believe the 5MB limit is per file, so you should be fine. I've done the same.

I guess gotta stay positive and hope for no checklists.

That's cool, I never really knew how to interpret that sentence.

Please let me know when you get your CC! I hope it's within the 20 days that most people are having right now.
