Officials in Chattanooga, Tennessee, are responding to reports of an active shooter at a naval reserve center there.

According to the Times Free Press, at least one person, a police officer, was shot and was transported to a hospital Thursday morning. Both the hospital and nearby Chattannooga State Community College were placed on lockdown.

According to the newspaper, Chattanooga Mayor cut short a news conference, saying, "This is a very, very terrible situation, I'm very concerned about what's going on. We need to figure out how to handle it."

Citing radio scanner traffic, the paper said shots were also reported fired at army recruiting centers in the area.

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

According to CNN, the shooter is still on the loose. I hope they catch him before any more lives are injured or lost.
