Well congrats to everyone that has gotten their NOA2. Just for giggles even though I have only been waiting for 5 weeks I decided to call and find out why some cases filed after mine are being processed quicker. After the obligatory "normal processing time is 5 months" answer I got I was able to press a bit farther ( I guess it is my sexy voice or something). I was told that people that have been together for 2+ years get sent to a different "stack" as she called it with the more time being together the higher you are in that stack. There are a few officers that do these request and no others and then the rest of us below 2 years time go through normal channels.

I think that putting time on love is borderline criminal but there is and always will be the degenerates that do the human trafficking that will mess up everything for all of us honest people. We can not really hold that against anyone but it sure does suck to see people that files after you get approved before you :P BTW I will sell my new found secrete way to contact to a person every time for ONE MEEEELLLLIIIIIOOOONNN DOOOOLLLLAAARRRS!!! Just kidding, just call the number and press 1 then wait then 2 then wait then 6 then wait then 2 then wait then 4...I have gottten a person every time today, in fact one was surprised that the computer did not "filter me" as she called it :)

Another data point - Aya and I met on Japan-guide.com, and we were very clear about this in our filing. It took about 15 days for them to approve us. So meeting online by itself doesn't seem to raise a red flag.

May I kindly ask if the two of you have been dating for more than 2 years before your filing for K1 Visa? The reason I ask is that seems like people who only know each other for less than 2 years gets their I-129F processed by different people in a different stack.

When you guys sent your packet to USCIS? My fiance and I known for over a year and we are approved 16 working days. Well, I guess the reason is that we have many proofs that our relationship is genuine as he is going back and forth here in the Philippines every 3 months.

But we didn't receive any hard copies of our NOA1 and NOA2, because as per USCIS the address is undeliverable. Well, I hope we'll receive letter or receipts from them soon as I'll be needing those in the future.

I'm checking how others are doing, 300-500 behind my case #. I see many people got approved even behind my case #, so I'm assuming CSC is working hard in July now. :joy:

Where or how did you see this?

HI Debmm.

You can check other case numbers using the USCIS website. For example if you case number is WAC1590461950, you could check WAC1590461750 to see if its approved. If it is then you know there are less than 200 cases between yours and theirs so it shouldn't be much longer!

Good luck!

It is only a rough estimate. I would imagine that petitions are looked at in 'batches' and some cases will be approved quicker than others due to the complexity of some cases and simplicity of others.

I would take it with a pinch of salt.

May I kindly ask if the two of you have been dating for more than 2 years before your filing for K1 Visa? The reason I ask is that seems like people who only know each other for less than 2 years gets their I-129F processed by different people in a different stack.

We had not - we just met in January 2015.

07/29/2015 - NOA2
08/24/2015 - Received case/invoice number; case forwarded to Tokyo Consulate
09/04/2015 - Aya receives Packet 3
09/??/2015 - Aya completes documentation, gets police report, etc. Told by consulate we can't schedule interview until after
medical, and that it will take about a month to get the medical appt
10/05/2015 - Aya (finally!) has medical
10/09/2015 - Medical report issued (no shots!)
10/16/2015 - Aya gets date for Interview

Hi there, I received the text/email on the 23rd around 6pm, and the hardcopy the following Monday; the Notice Date on that was also July 23.

I'm wondering what our notice date will be for the NOA2, since I got the email this morning, but it says that it was approved Aug 6.

Our receipt number's last 4 starts with 3xxx... but this VJ guide says that the last 4 of the receipt numbers starts over each day, so I'm not sure how helpful this whole receipt number tracking business is ;)

http://www.visajourney.com/content/uscis-receipt-number

For fun I plugged in a few different numbers similar to mine this morning (just changing the last 4) and it came up with all kinds of different petition types (EADs, APs, AOSes, but no I-129Fs), all showing "received" around the 20th-21st of July. So who knows how it all works! All we can really do is sit back and wait it out, or if you're like me, check your own case number obsessively :)
