just curious, I have read people saying unsuccessful early walk in, how often they will accept early walk in?

Our local office here in Tucson, AZ wasn't very busy. I'm sure that has a lot to do with it.

Although it may not speed up the progress of our case, it certainly cannot hurt it. Just a situation where we were able to get it completed sooner than our appointment date.

No, it should not affect your EAD. Mine hasn't been touched since July 9th. From what I've seen from the June filers, we should be hearing something on our EAD by the end of August - beginning of September. Hang tight!

The RFE will impact when you receive your EAD.

"When issuing an RFE for initial information, USCIS will advise the applicant that the 90-day period is automatically rescinded and that, upon receipt of the requested information, a new 90 day period begins. Likewise, when an RFE is issued for additional information, USCIS will advise the applicant that the 90-day period is automatically suspended and that, upon receipt of the requested information, the 90-day period will continue from the point of interruption."

If you get an RFE for your EAD, naturally there will be a delay.

However, it's to my understanding that a RFE for the I485 has no impact on the EAD or AP.

Yeah I know what it reads but I am just asking from those who experienced same thing if it means the evidence i sent to them was acceptable and they are ok with it?

They are not going to tell you if what you submitted was "acceptable".

They will give you a decision or request additional information.

Again, it means exactly what it says. "They received your information"

mymercy, that is the same response I got when we sent our RFE back. As Jameel and Kasey said, it means they have the paperwork. We won't know if it will suffice until we get another update.

However, it's to my understanding that a RFE for the I485 has no impact on the EAD or AP.

In the Form I-485 process, an applicant must provide all initial evidence, before the applicant can be scheduled for interview. If evidence is missing, the NBC will issue a Request for Evidence (RFE). An RFE places a hold on the I-485 application, as well as the associated applications filed with the I-485 application (for example, Form I-130, Form I-765, Form I-131), until the NBC receives the missing initial evidence.

Yes - All dependent applications of the principle application I-485 would pause automatically when a RFE is issue.

The bellow link (reply 3) the automating this subtract in their reporting. (Dated 2012 ...would could assume this is done)
