Since you received a checklist for DS 260, will you have to wait 30 days for review again or you case would just go into CC now?

Im just wondering, that i have received a checklist for not paying IV feeso once i am able to pay it (soon hopefully)..and fill out ds260..what happens? the checklist said i have to wait 30 to 45 days for nvc to review once i submit whatever they are asking forand that i have to send them the checklist coversheet too..which i cant possibly since its just the fee and ds260 that i have to submit ONLINE.

30 days again sadly .

Oh really, are you sure ? :(

A REAL checklist for a missing document, joint sponsor, etc, will reset the clock at the NVC for review which is currently about 30 days after they receive the missing item. This is because they need time to review what was wrong not because it resets the 1 year contact clock.

A checklist for submitting the DS-260 will not reset the clock. They're just notifying you that it's available to do you and they have reviewed your documentation otherwise. "

Getting a checklist for the IV fee and DS-260 isn't a big deal. It's just a reminder that they don't have it and doesn't waste any time at all. It's getting the checklist for the AOS documentation or missing civil docs that you already sent that you want to avoid. "

I hope that its true what he wrote.

I have learned much about the NVC and have kept records on the 60 plus times I have called. The times they give you are meaningless. Only some operators and even some supervisors know what they are talking about. I got sick of the stories they would tell to get me off the phone. Their main agenda is to get you off the phone and try hard not to let you talk to a supervisor. They are very good at that. You can be thinking exactly what you are going to say but somehow they can manipulate you to eventually hang up. I had to make a checklist and follow it to a "T". Otherwise they will win and not tell you a thing or let you talk to a supervisor. Many times they will put you back in the waiting queue which is another hour wait to talk to a 'Specialist" Don't let them do this. Anyway, as in my previous post, I am looking for any interest or anyone who has knowledge in a class action lawsuit against NVC and the State Dept. for their failure to process cases. Mostly because of the website that nobody has answers for. John.

Today marks three weeks since I received my IV fee invoice. The option to pay it still hasn't been enabled in the portal. At this point, still waiting at least a month to see if the payment eventually shows up. Going to call tomorrow and see if there is any news besides the vague Department of State comment about the system being fixed early next week.

I received IV invoice May 15, system went down. So, until now, it still says "PAY NOW" but no amount indicted. I did pay by mail and got cleared May 28. Got checklisted for DS260 for both my parents applications. If they can manually bypass to generate the IV invoice, then, they can manually fix so it'll appear on the website as "PAID."

Just to share an observation: those with PDs of 2013 & 2014, I've seen a lot of them able to pay IV online and access DS260 although a lot of you had to wait for a month, two months or so. That's why it helps if people put in their timeline so we can keep track. PS of 2013 & 2014 that I have seen in this thread got their approvals between March-May 2015. It does appear that a lot of cases had been approved within those months and NVC is being flooded with approved cases. I do not know if NVC is giving priority to those of us who had been waiting for so long. K1 visas are an exception because theirs goes to the embassy, just make short stay with NVC. My PD is March 2015 for both parents so I guess I should not complain as much but it is unfair for a lot who had been waiting for so long. It just sucks that the system went down. It is not acceptable that I also I have to wait for weeks to pay my fees even if my PD is just recent. I have thought that NVC is just trying to slow down things because they are getting too much of a workload. I do not know how the prioritize cases: by PDs, when it was received by NVC,etc. I've called NVC to put in tickets for my parents cases so I can access their DS260. I got checklisted for both a month after NVC cashed their IV fees. But, at least, their packages had been reviewed and I do not need to send in further documents. I just hope that by Monday, everything will be fully operational like what they posted on their website.

just sharing my observations....

Ohh Great, Congrats....I am still not able to pay. what was your IV fee invoice date?

Thank you. I received the email on the 10th June but the date of the bill was 5th June for the IV fee. I've been waiting to pay online as I had previously mailed the AOS payment but every time I phoned they said it wasn't showing for my case even though they had cashed it. Finally paid again online and will try to get a refund.

All. I just signed in and it let me pay my IV Invoice too!!!!!! I got my IV receipt on June 16. The first time I signed in as the Petitioner and it would not let me. 35-40 minutes later I tried again but signed in as the appicant and it let me (don't know if it makes a difference). I think it might be fixed. Give it a shot!
