Paying IV Fees by Mail - Is This Really My Only Option Right Now?

guys, my IV fee shows as PAID and DS 260 is ready to be started and filled! YAY! That means agents dont know anything :/

My F2A Journey

07/16/2013: I-130 package sent

08/22/2013: Package received by USCIS, informed through an automated message
12/05/2013: Receipt number received (NOA1) P.D - 12/02/2013

02/06/2014: Petition approved (NOA2)

02/20/2014: Case received by NVC

04/26/2014: Called NVC, they said they have sent an email on March 28th. No further processing can be done till priority date is current.

02/25/2015: Welcome letter sent, Invoice ID number included
05/04/2015: DS-261 completed

05/05/2015: AOS Fee paid; status “in process”
05/07/2015: AOS Payment status “PAID”

05/21/2015: AOS & IV Package mailed to NVC *Fingers crossed*

05/29/2015: NVC received our documents (SCAN DATE) - Notified through email on 6/4/2015
06/09/2015: DS261 reviewed (found out by calling NVC)

06/14/2015: IV fee bill generated (received email) *cant pay - ceac portal having issues*

06/26/2015: Checklist received for not paying IV fee *waiting to pay online*

07/05/2015: IV fee paid finally website is fixed! *Showed as PAID 7/8/15*
07/08/2015: DS260 submitted

09/22/2015: Case completed finally (over the phone with NVC)
09/29/2015: CC confirmation email received

10/22/2015: Interview scheduled
12/03/2015: Interview (approved!!!)

Husband's N400 Time-line

31st Oct 2014 – N400 application submitted------ 14th Nov 2014 – Delivered to USCIS Phoenix AZ------ 18th Nov 2014 – Text message from USCIS that case is received. Given a receipt number.------ 18th Nov 2014 – Email notification indicated case is accepted and forwarded to NBC------ 24th Nov 2014 – NOA1 hard copy received in mail------- 28th Nov 2014 – Biometric appointment letter received in mail. Dated : 8/12/14------ 03rd Dec 2014 – Early walk in biometrics------ 10th Dec 2014 – Yellow letter received------- 15th Dec 2014 – Online status: Case in-line for interview------ 11th May 2015 – Interview letter received------ 17th June 2015 – Interview at Santa Ana (APPROVED!!) ------- 22nd June 2015 – In line for Oath (E-notification)--------- 30th June 2015 - Oath ceremony notice mailed (Received in mail = 5th July)------- 22nd July 2015 - OATH CEREMONY!! *US CITIZEN*

We were able to submit our ds 260 today , we had mailed payments in about two weeks ago , all showing online as paid!! Good luck all

We mailed our payment in as well, but it will not let me click anywhere to fill the DS-260 out. I am assuming there is still an error in the system somewhere?? So frustrating!

We mailed our payment in as well, but it will not let me click anywhere to fill the DS-260 out. I am assuming there is still an error in the system somewhere?? So frustrating!

That's unusual. Just wait 24 hours, if not fixed then you must call nvc to fix it.

Quick question. How soon after I've submitted the DS-260 and all the AOS/Supporting documents should my step son schedule his medical in the Philippines?

I believe you have to wait until you get the interview letter. In the package they send you, there will be a list of approved doctors with which you can get the medical done. From my experience, you have to bring the interview letter to the doctor so they know that it's for the US Embassy.

Thanks! I just looked at the US Consulate requirements in the Philippines and you're right, he has to have the Appointment letter from the NVC when he goes for his medical. Thanks for the head's up.

I just finished n submitted the DS260, and clicked to email the confirmation to myself. But i didnt receive the email yet! I dont have a printer at home to print it .. did that happen with u guys too?

EDIT: i was able to save it as pdf for now. so i will just print it later. But thts weird. I didnt even get the IV fee receipt in email as yet either

Yeah same here. I tried to e-mail it but it didn't work. You should just click "print receipt" and then save it on your computer as a pdf so you can e-mail it to yourself and print it elsewhere.

Same with me. No email receipt but I also saved it on my computer as PDF.

I did complete DS 260 2 days ago, and today i jus received the email checklist

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the address provided.

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

All traveling immigrant visa applicants on your case are required to complete and submit the DS-260 Online Immigrant Visa Application. Even if you previously filled out a DS-230, Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Form, you must now complete the DS-260 in order to be eligible for a visa interview.

You will find instructions for submitting all required forms and supporting civil documents on our website http://nvc.state.gov/.

Please note the applicant will need the following information to access and complete DS-260:

NVC case number
Invoice identification number

My questions

1. Should i disregard this checklist requirement for DS260 ?

2. Does it mean I have to resubmit all required forms and supporting civils documents again ? I already turned in my both AOS n IV package last month on June

7/8/2015 - Received checklist for missing Data Passport Page again and DS260 because NVC lost the package

7/10/2015 - Mailed in checklist request again       8/10/2015 - Case completed on phone with NVC

8/17/2015 - Received email confirmation for case completed

8/26/2016 - Scheduled interview      8/27/2015 - Received P4 letter thru email     9/14/2014 - Medical Exam Done

9/16/2015 - Interview date- Passed but waiting for Medical exam Results

9/24/2015 - Medical exam results sent to US Embassy

9/29/2015 - CEAC visa status show " Issued "     10/1/2015 - Visa in hand      10/12/2015 - POE Los Angeles, California

LIFTING CONDITION

7/13/2017 - Sent in ROC application      7/17/2017 - Received NOA

7/21/2017 - Received Appointment notice for Biometrics     8/7/2017   - Biometrics taken

3/5/2018   - Case moved to local office          9/18/2018 - Case tranferred to Nebraska Service Center 

12/19/2018 - Case approved, Card being produced         12/20/2018 - Card received
