Our Adjustment of status is approaching however my husband who is the petitioner resigned to his work a month ago., will this be a huge issue for my green card application?

He's work place needed to close down last May 22, he was offered to just resign and will recieve a severance pay, so that's what he did. Who is eligible to be a co sponsor? I am worried, we have a co sponsor in mind right now and he is a friend of my husband, however I am not sure wether this idea will work out

Any qualified person can be a co-sponsor for adjustment of status AOS. Their income must meet the 125% poverty guidelines of the I-864P for you, the co-sponsor plus any dependents.

Thanks for your responses It made me more positive of getting approve, hope everything will turn out well on our interview. We will work on the co sponsor forms and documents, I appreciate everyone of you guys

The number on the left counts the members that are dependent on the sponsor so for example if you get a member of your family to sponsor it would be that person +your fiancé and let's say his or her wife so it would be 3 persons and so it would be $25,112.

(Obviously this is in the eyes of your fiancé)

The sponsor and your fiancé will need to fill in an affidavit of support form and the sponsor will need to give you proof of income, tax returns/ bank statements/Payroll stubs/ letter from employer etc etc.
