Delay in Delivery of Approved Visas

Anyone else waiting from the Cairo, Egypt consulate?

Our interview was June 14th, told we were approved, but CEAC status went to Administrative Processing on 24th June and again on July 1, no further updates I would like to hear anyone else from the Cairo embassy and their stories. Anyone else have a horror story from the Embassy to tell? bleh...

A horror story? Ya gotta chill out. It's still taking time to switch to issued and get printed. They just recently finished fixing the printing issue, and the consulates are still flooded. Even if others have gotten their visas from your consulate, it's not going to help you. You just have to hold out a little longer, unfortunately, and call your consulate!!!! I cannot say this enough. People need to ask less here about their consulates and make more actual phone calls. No one but the consulate can tell you about your case. And asking for horror stories won't help you.

Hopefully you should be issued this week if the consulate isn't too flooded, but call and check with them. Good luck!!

Ps- reminder.. The consulate isn't ALWAYS super helpful (like what they said to me on Thursday!!), but they're the ones with your case and the ones printing your visa, so if anything, they'd be the ones with information!

Our interview was on June 10th, we too were approved and are still waiting. Ours has been stuck on ready this entire time. It updated once on the 14th, then again yesterday July 4th and again today July 5th. We have emailed the embassy several times, the last response we received was on June 29th. They said that our visa was in the final stage and would be issued shortly. Needless to say, here we are almost a week later, but nothing. Insha'Allah soon!

The horror story isn't about the wait, lol. I understood the computer glitch and all that. Our attempts to speak to anyone at the Embassy were unproductive as the guy on the phone only kept directing us to the CEAC website address where we can check for ourselves. I was referring to the treatment we, personally, received at the Embassy in our interview. That was one of the most unpleasant men I have ever spoken with ever.

Thanks for chiming in, Maharosa. I am just feeling concerned that they changed their mind and gave us that congratulations letter at the interview by mistake. I will follow your timeline, as you had your appointment just before ours. In shaa Allah, we will all be done with this soon.

That's awful, so sorry! Unfortunately you aren't the first to be treated poorly, ugh. Welcome to the world of immigration! It's not fun :/

Sorry that your consulate hasn't been helpful. It's a hit or miss with them ours usually is but they gave us the wrong info last week so it's a mixed bag. They said they'd hopefully print ours tomorrow. Hopefully you guys get yours printed this week, too. I mean the embassy can't tell you squat if the case is still in the US. Once it says issued is when they can give you info since they'll have it back.

Australia: still not issued. Been in AP since 20 May, Consulate said I was approved 9 June.

Still no progress.

I've read a ton of posts about tracking Philippines 2go shipments and there's no straight answer on which number to use for tracking (beneficiary passport number, case ID, ds160 confirmation number, or "uid"). I've had 5 windows open with each number in it and I just saw a hit on the UID.

I discovered the UID buried in the Embassy appointment letter under "MRV Fee Payments". There's a ton of numbers there but try both numbers under the barcode on the appointment letter. I saw ours left the Philippines embassy an hour or two ago

Further clarification: My UID is an 8 digit number.

We received the text at about 5pm that the visa is ready for pickup at 2go. Thank God. I'm hoping everyone else's visa will be coming through soon. Think positive.

We interviewed a few days after you so hopefully we are right behind you, although it's still stuck on June 26th for us!

yeh I know how you feel it totally sucks how long this has taken. I was following closely Canadiangirl39 coz hers was a day before mine and as hers got approved i knew mine would not be far behind so that is comforting! we lost two days last week right because of the holidays so hopefully they will start dishing out the issued statuses this week. because if its july and they are still backlogged then july peeps interviews will be delayed too!

I emailed the montreal immigrant email add and when i did then my status date changed so maybe you can enquire?

I was following closely Canadiangirl39 coz hers was a day before mine and as hers got approved i knew mine would not be far behind so that is comforting! we lost two days last week right because of the holidays so hopefully they will start dishing out the issued statuses this week. because if its july and they are still backlogged then july peeps interviews will be delayed too!

Yeah I emailed them earlier today so we will see, but the email did say because of the volume of emails they might not respond for 3 days...
