Help! Iam from the Philippines, I have an issue with my birth certificate, my father's name should have a "III" in the last part but my birth certificate doesn't reflect it so I went to local registry where I was born and submitted all papers to correct my father's name in my birth certificate. According to them, it was a clerical error and is governed under R.A. 9048 Correction of clerical error. It frustrates me to know that this could delay my visa process for 3-4 months. Does anyone here experienced the same thing or has knowledge about this process? Does this really take 3-4 months? :( I cannot apply for a passport because of this. Thanks in advance!

NOA 1: July 1, 2015

NOA 2: July 27, 2015

Please post on the Philippines regional forum. People there can give you more answers.

Don't stress yet, 5 working days/business days wouldn't be until tomorrow. They do not classify weekends as working days. If you don't hear something by Friday, then you should give them a call. :) Good luck!

This journey isn't easy...we went over many hurdles along the way... We are together now, 4 years going strong... It's never impossible, it is a matter of having the strength and love to conquer all things along the way!

Check status on website everyday....

Very envious of all the people who got their NOA2 already.

Hang in there. You're not alone.
