My fiancee just called me upset because she was in an accident 5 yrs ago and need the hospital records before they will proceed. Is this normal? She is ok now but she had some work done on her right eye which has all been taken care of and there is no problem now. She is all worried she won't pass the Medical exam and we won't get the Visa? Any thoughts, ideas or words out there I can tell her to lessen her stress level? I told her it will have no bearing on the Visa getting approved but I don't think she believes me

Yes, but according to her they won't proceed till she provides that. But I agree with you. What should we do? I guess if they won't proceed we have to do it. I wish I was there to help.

They told her at Medical she needed it? I have never heard of that before.

I have had gf with heck of lot more serious medical issues and they never requested any information from her.

You do know Hospital go out of business all the time in Philippines, where would said person get medical records?

Who is telling her that she needs her medical records?

I don't know who told her. She does not have internet access while in Manila and when I call her I use lunex which is cheap but you only hear every third word. She does have a sister who works at the hospital so she can get her the records but now involves another flight back to Manila, which she had to do for the Embassy Interview but means staying in Manila a week again instead of 2 days. I wish I could talk to someone there but know that's impossible.

Thank you. I just had not heard of this happening before. We are fortunate enough w her sister working at the hospital for records (I hope). Boy, from DHL temporarily losing our documents to customs holding the documents hostage..this last part has been struggle. Guess God figures the harder we work the more we will appreciate the small things when we are together.

I've heard of it happening before and I've read about it too here on VJ so its not entirely out of the ordinary. Provide the docs asap and you should be fine. Good luck!

I'd find out who "they" are first. Otherwise you may be in a Chinese fire drill.

Lol..this whole thing has been a fire drill lately. I will talk to her tonight..but she doesn't know. They wouldn't even proceed to the vaccinations until she provided the records so I am assuming it has to be the staff.

Yep..on it. Figured don't fight the system and she is flying out if manila today to get them. Thanks of all you. Kinda knew I needed to do that but helps when you have people there for you when this happens. I hope someday I will be able to be the voice of reason for others as you have been for me.
