Hello !

14/30 for me, but still haven't been able to fill out ds260 online.

NVC confirmed on April 14 that they received my IV fee. I mailed the payment because there was a bug with paying IV fee online.

As of now I still can't access ds260 because the bug is still there.

From the posts I read, they take around 30 days to review ds260.

So, each day spent waiting until I can send this form is another waiting day added, until I finally get a case complete, is that correct ?

Submit DS-261 : 2015-03-22

Pay AOS Bill : 2015-03-25

Receive IV Bill : 2015-04-30

Pay IV Bill : 2015-05-14

Send IV & AOS Package : 2015-05-11

Completed DS260 : 2015-06-23

Checklist : 2015-06-30

New Scan date : 2015-07-06

Put on supervisor review : 2015-08-05

CC : 2015-10-14

Interview date : 2015-12-08

Hello all

Once website wasn't working we sent our AOS payment by mail (as requested by NVC) las week. Now it works again, and shows the AOS fee is not payed yet (of course, it's too recent). Called NVC, the representative says it takes up to 21 days to process the payment and that I could send the documents anytime we wanted (??). Our consulate now allows both ways to send our documents email or mail. My question is:

1) Any experience with the "email"? I believe it's easier, right? Also takes 30 days (in theory) or its longer to process?

2) I know the package needs to be sent with a confirmation page you print from NVC (or the welcome letter they send - I haven't received anything). How about sending the documents by email? Do I still have to attach this page? I though not, once the NVC representative said we could send at "anytime", even before AOS fee is confirmed payed (what is quite odd on my understanding)

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Hi!! we sent our packages thru email (April 21th) and by May 19th we recieved the Case Complete email (previous checklist on May 12 of one document coz we sent the wrong one). We scan also the "Document Cover sheet" where you mark the documents your are sending. I think the email is a good option and in our case it had work really fast. And we didnt have to deal with the fact that mail documents may take for ever to get to US (we are in Argentina).

Good luck!!!

! Thank you! :)

yes u still have to attach the cover sheet if you do email , I recommend not doing email as it is not easier or quicker, you usually never get emails saying they received your documents etc it's just a mess . I know . And the wait time is longer usually .
yes u can it's the same sheet .

Same situation for us, received a confirmation on May 15th but still can't access the DS260. The IV fee shows "pay now" but can't be paid online as well. I called a couple times to see if they needed to manually flag the IV fee as "paid" but that doesn't seem like the case...

It's frustrating and there is no one to be held accountable for this type of delay.

Hi everyone.

Quick question about the visa package. The NVC says they only want copies of documents. Does that also apply to the I-864 form? I only need to bring the original of that form to the interview, along with the rest of the originals?

I was finally able to log on and submit the DS-261 yesterday, but can't pay the AOS fee yet. Now that their system seems to be slowly coming back up I wanted to send the package out in the next few days, and I've been told by them that it's alright to send the package without having paid any of the fees. Does anyone know if this is correct?

I'm on day 29/30. Getting close, so I called NVC at 7:00 AM. 30 minute wait, but got through. No case complete yet, she said "at least 30 days", and that it could be a little over, but that they are currently keeping up at about 30 days still.

Also, we submitted form DS-260 April 17th and it hasn't been reviewed yet. She said its generally 30 days, or they'll do it with the case review. I guess we got our payments and application in right before the problems came up so haven't been affected by that.

Hi All,

I didn't receive the welcome letter yet. I am able to login to ceac, so logged in and filled out DS-261. When I call them they say they cant review it as its not showing to them. Am I missing anything? asked to wait two more weeks for the AOS fee. and said only after that they should be able to review DS-261. Is it ok to send the documents now? Or wait for all the fee and forms to complete.

Hi Nicole,

I am in the same boat as you 30/30 days yesterday. Thinking about calling NVC today.

Just a general question, When I try to check the status on ceac web site (After entering my case number) the message window pops up "Please follow instructions you received from NVC for the next step of the application.........."

Does the same message appears to you as well when you check your status on ceac site?

The welcome letter took a while to arrive to me in Turkey as well. I assume they gave you information to log in over the phone? Do you have the cover letter printed to include with your documents? After submitting form DS-261 and paying the first fee I mailed the documents. Since I was sending from Turkey, it took at least 2 weeks to arrive anyway.

Yes and no. It does if I log into ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status

Try checking this site - you'll also need your invoice ID to log in. https://ceac.state.gov/iv/
