Dwheels i need your help. What is the fastest route in getting my SS#. I need it immediately as i get to the USA to sign up for work. I did sign that they should provide the Social for me in one of the NVC forms i signed. Is it possible it would be in the package i get to bring with me?

There's no fast track to a SS#. It takes 2 to 4 weeks to get one. After a few days in US just go to SS office and apply. You need to wait at least 2 to 3 days to get into system then you can go to the office. You should get SS in 2 weeks. Or you can change it and hope it just comes in 2 weeks. Many just go and apply in 2 weeks.

No way is a SS card in any package you get.

Hello everybody,

I'm updating this spreadsheet:

I've been waiting for IR-1 Visa Embassy Interview to be scheduled.

Original Scan Date: March 5, 2015
Checklist Scan Date: April 23, 2015

Case Completed Date: May 21, 2015 (28 days after checklist Scan Date),

confirmed over the phone from NVC customer service representative on May 21, 2015

Also, the third N/A showed up on website, being changed from "Paid" to N/A on May 21, 2015.

I just spoke with NVC customer service representative a half hour ago, asking if she has an

Embassy Interview scheduled for my case, and I got good news:

Embassy Interview was scheduled on June 2, 2015 and the Interview will take place on

July 2, 2015 at 1:00pm at US Embassy in Bucharest / Romania. :dancing:

Good luck to all VJ members with their cases!

Keep in touch with updates ....

Dear Dwheels76,

Repeating my older post :)

I am not sure if this should be updated, because I didn't get it confirmed by e-mail yet.

After a "horror movie" about my case being on AP, the very next day my husband called to the NVC and here it goes:

Interview scheduled (confirmed via phone) on June 3rd

Interview date July 28th, 8:30

Embassy in Vilnius, Lithuania

I hope it is real. No AP issues was brought up by the rep.

Has anyone had this situation?

I called the NVC on Wednesday and was told that my wife's case is complete (CC) on 25 May, and that the interview had been scheduled for 28 July 2015. We should wait for the official appointment letter by email.

This morning, I received a checklist letter by email, dated 26 May. In it, they ask for two things, both of which I know to be silly and were either sufficiently proved or included in the original AoS & IV packets.

I'm on the phone with the NVC now (waiting) to clear this up, but just wondering if anyone has had this experience before?
