it is a long process and will undergo a lot of scrutiny, he has to be abused by his partner, whether it is verballly, physically, emotionally, financially abused you have to prove that to self petition via VAWA. If you're not any of those and your wife happened to just withdraw the petition then I guess you got 30 days to leave. There should be a reason why she withdrew it and that would be the red flag for USCIS. Anyway, good luck and I hope you can find ways to make your stay legal here in the US.

did you just say you already have the conditional work permit or conditional green card? either way, I think you can do self-petition. But of course, you have to work first to be able to support your application. check some links for self-petitioning.

There is no such thing as self petitioning in this case.

If you want to banter and post underhanded digs at each other theres a whole section in OFF TOPIC where its encouraged and allowed. Its a proverbial riot in there. Let loose. The OP presented a very simple situation and asked about the future and options:

situation being wife withdrew petition during AOS interview- this caused everything to be terminated including his EAD.

options-

-he can reconcile with wife and refile - probably not going to happen as they are on the path to divorce

-he can remarry another USC or LPR and refile -not an option right now as the relationship would have to be genuine and he is not in one

-he could file a self-petition - not an option as he is not in an eligible category

-employer based GC- unknown if he qualifies

-student based visa- unknown if he qualifies, this would help him live in the US and get him at some point limited work

thats pretty much all I can think of off the top of my head.

Obviously none are quick fix you can stay here in the US and file something immediately and rectify this- except and unless the spouse refiles. So his best option if he seeks to keep himself clean from bans is to leave the US in a timely fashion. If the OP would like more information on any of the options he is free to inquire about the specifics of them as the above is just a basic one line list.
