At CEAC website you must look under Non-Immigrant even though the K1 is a immigrant visa. That should work for you.

Don't wait for the P3 as it never arrives in the Philippines. Head on over to my website (link is at the twisting arrow below), as I created it so that you can follow along step by step. The process for each step (tabs) and what is needed (sub menu) will answer most of your questions.

Do you have your MNL#? If so this is the step you are on now from my guide.

thank you so much :)

your website is amazing. It's efficient and really easy to use. Have a question though, is it too early for me to track my case #? I tried and it says invalid case number ;/

No it's not too early. The best tool to use to track is to get the app and sign up on for myUCIS. Details in my link below. Reread my early post, as it states what you need to do to track and CEAC.

Eh, okayish. For us we need a Police Clearance Certificate for India. Sadly the closest interview we could schedule for is the 21st, so we might not even have the PCC till the 28th =/. We're trying to see if we can bump up the appointment for it, but unfortunately we're having a lot of trouble getting into contact with the right people. Very frustrating.

Hows the other May filers getting on ?

Just over a week to my interview :D

So maybe good news. The embassy in Luanda called my fiancé and told him they may be able to grant him an exception from getting his Portuguese military record (since it requires him to go to Portugal to get it). The consular officer said she would call my fiancé this week to confirm, which would be perfect. Then I think we can move on to getting an interview date.

I'm hoping that since they've physically met already and are communicating regularly, that the interview should be nothing but a formality.

*fingers crossed*

Hi all!

it is getting closer and closer to our interview (10/27) and i am a few days away from sending my packet over to my fiance in AUS. just want to confirm a few things bc my anxiety is getting stronger!!

we are USA/AUS. we are doing K1. we have a co-sponsor.

1.) our co-sponsor filled out Form I-134 Affidavit of Support and supplied all required documents. Is Form I-134 the correct form for K1 Co-Sponsors? Or is it the I-864?

2.) Do I, the petitioner/USC fiance also fill out the I-134 AOS or do I fill out the I-864?

..3.) Here is what I have for my co-sponsor: Form I-134, scan of passport bio page, photocopy of US birth cert, photo copy of his & mine drivers licenses showing we live at the same address(he is my step father), a letter from his bank declaring amount of savings, several pay slips, a signed letter from his employer declaring salary and contract, copy of payroll, more payslips issued from his employer, W2, copy of IRS tax return transcript and finally a copy of monthly mortgage payments on our house with Chase bank. Am I missing anything??

..4.) For myself I have: a signed Form I-134 AOS, signed letter from my employer declaring annual salary and date of employment (about 1 month ago), so far 2 copies of pay slips (waiting on more), and soon I will be obtaining a signed letter from my bank stating savings (only a little over a thousand) as well as writing a letter explaining why I did not file a tax return for the past year (I was living in Australia for the past 2 years) which means I don't have a W2 (I never worked on the books in the US until recently) so I don't have much more in my name to include.. Am I missing anything? Do I send over a photocopy of my birth cert and passport bio page again or will they have it already from the earlier petition? Do I include my travel itinerary showing I only just moved back to the U.S, and that is my proof why I did not file taxes? Do I include something showing I filed taxes in Australia?

Suggestions??

Any advice on what to state in my letter about not filing?

I really appreciate any feedback. Thanks! Goodluck to all!

Your question is better answered in the Australia Forum. Read below for more details.

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should move over to your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy - Australia.

Those in this thread, are applying from various Embassies around the world and there are different process for each. So what works in Russian, Philippines or UAE may not work for those processing through the Australia. VJ sub forum for all things dealing with the US Embassy in Australia and they will answer your questions for the processing of your visa

from their personal experience. Link:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/93-canada/

Get the Australia K1 Embassy Letter (EL) at http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use the EL as a check list. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview. If it is not on the Embassy letter, it probably is not needed.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for you country so that you are up to speed.

Good luck and God's speed.

Update on our case...

My fiancee is currently in South Africa for his interview. He said his goodbyes in Mauritius and took all his luggage to South Africa.

He completed the medical today and now we are just waiting for his interview on 9/17. I got a plane ticket for him for free (just paid tax) using my frequent flyer miles for 9/24. I know everyone says to wait until visa is in hand but booking the flight ahead of time was the only way to secure a flight that week using my miles.

Based on what South African VJers have posted, the consulate returns the passport with Visa very quickly. Worse case scenario..we can change the flight for $100. Hopefully we don't have to :star:

We are so excited. We can't wait to be together and start being a family. He hasn't met his son yet so he is extremely anxious to get here ASAP. I will be asking my employer for a couple days off so we can have a long weekend together with our son. :)

Good luck to everyone!!!
