I have a question, i am so hoping i did not do this incorrectly! I resubmitted AOS because i made an error and was checklisted! On my hubby's AOS i counted my household size as (4) listing my husband (primary beneficiary), myself, my daughter and my mom.. On my step daughters AOS, i counted my household size as (5), counting her as the primary beneficiary, myself, my spouse, my daughter and my mom... Is this correct or incorrect?? Should i have counted her on his as well so that both show household size of 5?? I DO NOT WANT ANOTHER CHECKLIST!!!

Your household must be 4 in both of them, you can't count your husband on your step-daughter's AOS as you did not count her on your husband's.

Husband, you, your daughter and your mom =4

Step-daughter, you, your daughter and your mom =4

Good Luck.

Hi everybody my wife got accepted (case complete) april 8th. She is in Mexico. It has been over a month now and we have not heard any news or received any notices or messages on our interview date. It also does not say "ready" on the CEAC website . My question is, how long does it take for the interview date to be scheduled after being accepted at the nvc? Since she is in Mexico, the embassy probably has a lot of petitioners and maybe thats why it is taking a long time. But on this thread, i am seeing people receiving their interview date after a couple of weeks after "case complete". Does anyone know why it has been over a month and no interview date yet? Please respond :)!!!!

Did you call NVC to ask if they already scheduled an interview for your wife, are you an US resident or citizen?

If you're a citizen you wife should had been scheduled for an interview already for June.

Good luck!

Call NVC always you have an inquiry about anything.

i dont think you're right

atleast in one of the affidaffits she should have the whole householdsize, which is 5

we had to submit 2 affidavits, one for the wife (me) and one for the stepdaughter, so on the wifes affidavit our householdsize was 2-husband and wife and on the stepdaughters affidavit it was 3 - husband, wife, daughter

we don't have a cc yet, so i cant tell for sure, but thats how it was explained to me here and on phone with the nvc rep.

maybe someone with a CC can confirm here?!

I originally filled out part 3 items 2-6f. When it asked if a family member will be migrating at the same time or within 6 months i said yes and added his daughter... Smh!!! But i misread where it says do not include any one on a separate petition.

I am short of breath. 3 N/A's just now :dancing:

My scan date 3/30

Check list 4/23

New scan date 4/27

CC 5/13

Should I open a bottle of wine now? :D

Thank you Saylin and others for tremendous help!!!

P.S. we called to the NVC 3 times through our entire (I would say fairly short) process. Just to keep ourselves sane we just ignored the calls.

Congrats :)

i dont think you're right

atleast in one of the affidaffits she should have the whole householdsize, which is 5

we had to submit 2 affidavits, one for the wife (me) and one for the stepdaughter, so on the wifes affidavit our householdsize was 2-husband and wife and on the stepdaughters affidavit it was 3 - husband, wife, daughter

we don't have a cc yet, so i cant tell for sure, but thats how it was explained to me here and on phone with the nvc rep.

maybe someone with a CC can confirm here?!

Yes you are right. I got checklist for this household size for my spouse's AOS, and that was how the NVC rep explained to me too....I'm also still waiting for my CC. Hope we got it right this time

Has anyone here received a checklist in the email, on the same day that their case was complete? This has happened to me. Case complete on May 12, but I got two checklist emails yesterday: one for W2s that I need to bring with me to the interview, and the other for a police certificate that the NVC says I never submitted, but I did.

I spoke to the NVC last night, they confirmed my case was completed and now awaiting an interview date. In regards to the missing police certificate, the NVC rep said it could simply be a mix up in the email system and to wait a couple days to see if I get any notification. If not, then he said I should call the NVC back and escalate to a supervisor.

I am confused - case complete but with a checklist?

You will probably be asked to take it with you to the interview.

Well the best thing is someone who is in the same situation and have gotten CC tell her how to do it better.
