Hi everybody my wife got accepted (case complete) april 8th. She is in Mexico. It has been over a month now and we have not heard any news or received any notices or messages on our interview date. It also does not say "ready" on the CEAC website . My question is, how long does it take for the interview date to be scheduled after being accepted at the nvc? Since she is in Mexico, the embassy probably has a lot of petitioners and maybe thats why it is taking a long time. But on this thread, i am seeing people receiving their interview date after a couple of weeks after "case complete". Does anyone know why it has been over a month and no interview date yet? Please respond :)!!!!

Hi all. It's already been 12 days since we got assigned a case number and IIN and we STILL CANT log in to choose an agent. ?

There are huge system errors that are not allowing a lot I say a lot of people to do anything with fees and forms online . They are trying to fix it so your not the only one just to ease your mind a bit . Edited by Morganalmonshid94

Popped by the CEAC payment center to see if my fee was PAID yet, and found the NVC has posted a new error message at the top of the page saying they are aware of the issues happening with the website. Nice to see them making a public announcement.

i'm curious, what did they say?

I'm calling daily now..... so yesterday's call - reviewed the weirdness of this again with the agent (lovely lady). I asked if the supervisor I worked with previously was available to speak with - no dice.... is any supervisor available - nope.... suggestions? she submitted a call back request but explained that supervisors won't seem them until the end of the business day and I should not expect a call until the next day - at the soonest... no prob...

So today's call.... go through the weirdness of the situation - again..... lovely rep..... this time she says I should send an email to the expedite address attention supervisor as this is the absolute last thing we are waiting on!!

So a well-written, polite email has been sent, high-priority, read receipts requested (not that I ever got one)..... and we wait......

The weirdness of all this: DS260 for all three of us were submitted 04/22.... youngest (whose was submitted last) got her CC on 04/30; my case had an hiccup with the paperwork but it was sorted out and CC on 05/08 (DS260 was first one submitted of the three of us).... oldest daughter (still a minor) DS260 submitted in between ours and is still pending......

Each rep I review the timeline with responds with "well that's really odd...."

Hi guys,

I have another question. My wife who is my USC petitioner has never had a job in the US and she has never filed Federal Taxes. So what do i do about her tax returns? She has never filed any tax returns because she was in my country for her medical school and recently went back. She is still unemployed because she is studying for an exam.

We do have a joint sponsor who is going to attach his Tax Return transcripts for 2012,2013,2104

So what do we do?

Thanks

On her i864 she will check a box that says she is unemployed and place the date since she has been unemployed, her current annual income will be 0.00 since you said she is still unemployed. So since you stated she has never filed taxes for each year when it asks for the income for that year - 2012,2013,2014 she will put 0.00 . You MUST have her hand write and sign and date a letter saying dear whoever I did not file taxes for these years and list them because I was unemployed and overseas with no job blah blah blah .

Simple as that I had to do the same thing .

Make sure your co sponsor has the other supporting documents such as proof of us status . Proof of income such as pay stubs and letter of employment and such to help out so there's no chance of them giving you some stupid checklist .

I am short of breath. 3 N/A's just now :dancing:

My scan date 3/30

Check list 4/23

New scan date 4/27

CC 5/13

Should I open a bottle of wine now? :D

Thank you Saylin and others for tremendous help!!!

P.S. we called to the NVC 3 times through our entire (I would say fairly short) process. Just to keep ourselves sane we just ignored the calls.

So NVC confirmed that my petition was 'wanded' on May 11th, I'm guessing that is their way of saying they received and scanned it in! Would now be a good time to increase the phone call frequency?
