2 months worth of bank statements isn't enough. How long have you had a joint account? 2 months doesn't show enough of a history. How does dental records show a bonafide marriage? Do you have joint utility bills like electric, gas or oil, cable TV, copies of driver licenses showing the same address, affidavits from family and friends attesting to the marriage and relationship, school registration for your son showing your wife as an emergency contact, pictures of all of you together as a family. You need to bring as much evidence as possible. Good luck!

I can't speak for OP, but we just presented the records from our dentist that showed that oral surgery that she performed was jointly paid by the two of us, so it served as another example of comingling of finances.

Also, we submitted the most recent bank statements from each account only, and that was sufficient. We had also submitted the most recent statements when we filed for AOS on the same accounts.

Your minor child wouldn't be a focus on the interview as he /she is just a derivative and a minor as well. You'll be however since you're the main beneficiary. Don't really worry about him/her. Even if asked a question it'll be something cordial and simple he/she should know about you guys as parents and what a child is supposed to know not an interrogation.

My interview was 2 days ago and i took almost the same as you.

Joint lease

Att bill under my husband's name but that shows we have a family plan (the officer made sure to highlight that part)

Life insurance that shows I'm the beneficiary

Dental insurance

Travel itineraries

The paper that showed that he had added me to his bank account a few weeks ago

And lots of pictures

We made sure to include lots of texts transcripts since that's our main way of communication on a daily basis, even of me telling him to go to the gym cause his belly was getting big lol.

Sorry i don't have experience with the children thing

Thanks philly512.I hope it goes well with me on Wednesday.

You're welcome and good luck! Know specifics about your relationship progression you'll be fine and take as much evidence as possible. It's not as scary as you might think. My interview ran about 50 mins and 70% of it was about answers on the forms I-130 and I-485. ( I and spouse's biography) rest was about relationship and wedding details closing up with security and moral questions.

Hi pilotkausa,

Interview went fin,e we have to sendcopy of the final divorce papers of my wife from her previous marriage and then they can send us the green card.Regarding your son, they will not ask him any hard question.Make sure you go with his school registration form which shows you and your husband as parents and I believe if you have the custody papers you can take it with you just in case they ask for it. The main interview is going to be between you and your husband and not the child. Dont worry everything will be fine.Good luck.
