Hi everyone! I am SUPER excited we finally received our NOA2 last Saturday 6/27. I have been watching so many get through the first phase and finally we feel a bit of relief. I also posted this on the main page, but you all over here seem to know your stuff so I am hoping for a bit of advice.

It was especially wonderful that we got the news when we were together! My fiancee will leave the US next week, he is sailing across the Atlantic for work. He will then return to Germany the first few days of August. We are so ready to move forward once he arrives and I wonder what happens if the packet 3 arrives at his German home while he is out of touch? This may delay us a bit, but I just want to check if I need to be concerned. Does anyone know about the German consulate? Is it ok if it takes a little more time to return packet 3?

Also what should I be working on while he's gone. (Aside from the Affidavit of Support)

Wohooooo! Got my NVC case number. 25 days post NOA-2, so on the longer side. Not working on CEAC yet, but another step done. Waiting for package three now.

Now I guess we have to wait a couple of weeks for having the appointments and the documents we need for the Embassy right?

And is there anyone that know how is Naples-Italy? I hope that they are pretty fast with the whole thing.

Guys, can someone please tell me, will they send me the case number or i have to call to get the case #? I don't want to call since i am not in the hurry, i want the interview month to be in Nov, can i set the interview date or they assign it? Thank you.

They are pretty fast with the process. After getting the NOA2, we had received the packet 3 in less than a month and the consulate scheduled the medical exam/interview right after sending the applicant's statement. My fiance has his interview next Wednesday :)

Both. The NVC does send you a letter and if it's been about two weeks after receiving the NOA2 you can call. I called because I had already received the Packet 3 so I needed it and then I received the letter two weeks later.. <_<

What embassy will you be getting the visa from? Each embassy is different so I don't know if yours would be assigned or if you have to schedule a date. You can try using Google for more info or searching here in the forums . :)

Dang. Anyone call NVC today? They can't access cases in the computer from today until Monday so they can fix the visa printing problem. That's good news, but that was my first time calling and I was excited to ask about our status.

They send you everything right? any suggestion on which documents I should have ready?

I kinda want to have everything sorted out before I receive the package home so not to waste time.

And I think that since it's the weekend of the 4th of July they were already on holiday mode .... and today most likely they are off lol.
