Hi there,

I entered US with K1 visa, got married, applied for the temporary permanent resident that is soon to expire (3months away).

Questions:

1. What's the next step for us?

2. What required documents are needed?

Or if you can just provide me a link to what to do next would be really helpful.

Go to the guide and on the right it has adjusting to permanent resident for k1. Have you applied for ss card? After that you can apply for driver license. If you're past the date on the i94, you will have to wait for the green card.

06/10/2015-Went to info pass appt. Hubby got a 1yr. Extension stamp in his passport and biometrics done

08/12/2015-ROC Approved. Got letter in the mail.

08/29/2015-received new card in the mail.

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Yes, if you have more than 2 weeks validity left on your I94, I would go and apply for a SSN. This is helpful for the driver's license and will help avoid a delay in working once you receive your EAD.

OP, please update your timeline. Some people are assuming that you have your conditional green card (which is apparently expiring in 3 months), and some are assuming that you haven't applied for AOS yet (= that you don't yet have your conditional green card).

In addition, your profile flag says Philippines, whereas your consulate is listed as Armenia, which is the default consulate when no one has picked one.
