Just got off the phone with NVC they received my case today no case number yet I will probably call late tonight to see if one has been provided. The progress my case is making is unbelievable. I am trying not to get my hopes to high but goodness if there's no delay at NVC my case could be at the Embassy before the end of the month. Which would be the best birthday present ever for me. Wow the thought of that has me in tears. Good ones for a change

I hate to beat a deadhorse but should I be calling too? I think you already told me, but it sounds like I can literally do nothing until I get an email/text saying my case is being sent to NVC, is that correct? Or should I call USCIS and ask?

It's cool until USCIS send your application to the NVC there's not much you can do. What I would recommend is for you to call USCIS and speak with a tier 2 officer and try to et the ball rolling on getting it send out.

I sure hope you get that birthday present ASAP!

I hope so too my birthday is in ten days I hope by then my file will be on it's way to the Embassy by then.

Congrats! We where approved on the same day. I am hoping mine was in your stack. When you called what did you have to provide them to find out your case number?

I just talked to someone at NVC after a 40 minute hold time (which really isn't that bad). I had emailed the congressional caseworker that I'm working with while I was doing it and he told me that there is a shift change between 3 and 4 PM for the call center at NVC and it's the worst time to call. Just a tidbit for anyone trying to call for their case #!

Case number was assigned mine yesterday, I was just curious how long does it take the NVC to send the application to the embassy. also why can't I check the case number on their website https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx. the person I spoke with over the phones said the case is in administrate process. so I am guessing while is on this state I can't check the case status. anyone who can help on this.??

From what I've ready that it takes a few hours after you case number has been assigned before it works on the site. You can try tonight or tomorrow.

I don't know when exactly mine was assigned - I called today and immediately checked ceac and the status was available.

"Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center"
