All my vacci's are up-to-date other than influenza which I believe is seasonal. If I am having my medical (for K1) before February 2016, will I need to get it? I was hoping to avoid it because by the time I apply for AOS it will be out of season...

I am the beneficiary originally from UK !!

It is not about when you APPLY for adjustment. Your status of complete or not, is judged by the date of the signature on the vaccination sheet. Were you complete on Jan X, 2016? No, the flu shot was missing. However, if it happens to be not flu season when your AOS approval day rolls around, then they will skip it.

Example:

1) Your AOS interview is on August 20, 2016. Interviewer says "Not complete on the date this was signed, but it's summer now so I won't require the shot."

2) Your AOS interview is on October 2, 2016. Interviewer says "Not complete on the date this was signed, and it's flu season now. You require the shot."

That's how it is supposed to work. Go by whether you were complete on the date of record. But if it is not a requirement on the date you are up for approval, you don't have to get it. Maybe you will get lucky on timing of your AOS interview. Their handbook also used the example of aging out of a shot. An 18 year old needs Hep B and doesn't get it. By the time his AOS is adjudicated (not mailed), he has turned 19. He is excused from the shot because a 19 year old does not require Hep B.

AOS seems like a long time away, maybe it would be safe for me to get it whilst I am in the UK? Or will they do that doe me in the states?

If you get it in the states, then It is not recorded on your DS-3025 immunization sheet. You will pay a civil surgeon in the U.S. to put it on a new immunization form as well as copy off all the shots from your Knightsbridge form. That is, IF you find a civil surgeon willing to do that. Many insist on doing an entire medical exam over. $$$

Do all shots before Knightsbridge exam and you are set for AOS without a further appointment or expense for another doctor visit.

Ok - Thank you! I might as well just get it done then, rather than risk it. I'm not eligible for the free one in UK, but it's only about £10 otherwise which is fine - I assume they tell your GP so I can get it on my vaccination record?

If you get it at someplace like Boot's or a grocery store clinic, then get paper documentation to take to Knightsbridge. It doesn't have to come from your doctor's office.

So I just read this and went to double check my records - and the Doctor at Knightsbridge said I need to get my second MMR record.. However on my shot book from when I was a baby it states I have had BOTH MMR shots and do not require anymore....

Will I now need to get a civil surgeon to redo the medical? Or can I attach a copy of evidence stating I have had ALL MMR shots?

I have this issue as well! My record shows 2 MMR's but the second one just says mumps and measles... (I don't see why they would have excluded rubella from a combined jab)! so I have requested another copy. Surely evidence is all they would require - if it say's you've had it - you've had it!

The USCIS does not read and interpret vaccination sources like your baby book or from your GP. They accept a

DS-3025 signed off by a panel physician or a vaccination page from the I-693 signed off by a civil surgeon.

Sometimes things are indicated on GP records but without dates so can't be accepted by Knightsbridge. This happened to Pheebs.,Maybe there was something wrong like that or maybe they made a mistake but it needs to be correct before it goes to the embassy if you want to be sure it is correct for AOS. Some people get by with only one of a series and some don't. You can wait and see if you get an RFE.

The form is newish and they are wrong about not ticking it if you have all the requirements for AOS just because you are a K1. But you aren't going to convince them. Others have had the same thing....blank. It may or may not be a problem depending on who does your AOS. Many adjudicators in many places. Nobody who has had this new version of the form has made it through AOS yet to know how it will go. It does say in the handbook for USCIS adjudicators that even if the results are not filled out properly, but they can see that the shots are all there, they should not RFE. I hope all of you AOS officers have studied their handbook.

Hi all,

A personal update on the DS-3025 form not being checked as 'complete' for K1 visa applications. I had all required vaccinations when I went for my medical but they wouldn't mark it as 'complete' because that section is for immigrant visas and K1 is a 'non-immigrant' visa.

To remind the adjudicators that I did have everything up to date (even though it wasn't marked on the form) I sent a photocopy of the DS-3025 form in with my AOS application as suggested by Nich-Nick. In the cover letter I listed all the documents enclosed in the package, including: "Copy of DS-3025 completed vaccination record sheet showing all required vaccinations have been received. (Medical was performed on xxxx 2015 at Knightsbridge Doctors, London. Sealed medical report and I-693 was handed in at POE.)"

I didn't receive an RFE and got my Green card this week. Of course I don't know if submitting the DS-3025 photocopy or cover letter had anything to do with that or if I was just lucky but I wanted to share my experience for others going through the same thing.

One small correction for folks...you did not turn over a sealed I-693 at POE. That form (I-693) can only be completed in the US by a Civil Surgeon. Totally different medical form than the one panel physicians complete.
