Hi friends,

Unfortunately we got a checklist of two very silly mistakes.

Does anyone know a way to speed up the process of NVC? someone succeed?

My wife has a really good job in the US and another two months can make her miss her.

I will be happy your help because we are very anxious.

Thank you very much.

the mistake:

1) Item 7. The total number of immigrants listed in Item 7 must equal the number of immigrants listed in Part

3, Items 1 through 6.f. In addition, you must also verify that the total number of immigrants listed in Item 7

matches the number you entered in Part 5 Item1.

2)Item 10. The current annual household income must equal the sum of items 5, 6.c., 7.c., 8.c., and 9.c.

Ok, I see your current income didn't total with the corresponded number. I had to go back and view my I 864. Yes, my current income in 5 matched number 10. Sorry, about that. Fix it quickly and send it express via your local post office. Hope that it doesn't take another 60days

how i ask expedite?

it worked for someone?

NVCExpedite@state.gov - to email expedite requests

Subject line put your case number

In the body of the email:

NAME OF PETITIONER: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

DOB OF PETITIONER: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

NAME OF APPLICANT: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

DATE OF BIRTH OF APPLICANT: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

LOCAL NUMBER: XXX-XXX-XXXX (2 Local Numbers)

Then your reason for the request:

Just a heads up, since you already have a checklist and all that I don't recommend you expedite. Even though you think it will help it might set you back because you might have to resubmit everything again at this stage that you are at if they don't feel like going back to find all your stuff again, essentially putting you back at the back of the line delaying you before you are actually approved to be expedited. Make sure to check this out thoroughly before you expedite, just a thought, I've heard this happening before. I hope that made sense.

Good luck.

you have a lot of "mights" and "coulds" in your reply.

Speaking from experience with a expedite, once and if it is approved it case completes right there at the NVC and is sent right to the embassy, no more collecting of documents no more paying fees to the NVC everything is picked up by the embassy. As the OP already stated they are in a checklist holding pattern right now so sending a request for the expedite does not affect their "checklist place in line".

No you can't speed anything up. Unless you have a VALID expedite reason, it will just delay your case while they decide if you have a valid reason or not. Just apply patience.

the mistake:

We´ve got our checklist for your 1) - number of immigrants, and JUST for that. That was the only issue on our checklist.

We called NVC several times, talked to different reps and supervisors since it is such a small issue.

We were told there is NO way to reduce the 60 days waiting time unless we meet the official requirements of an expedite.

So, if you don´t meet the expedite requirements the chances to wait less than 60 days aren´t too big.

Good luck!

if you want to expedite because you are tired of waiting, it doesn't work like that. The expedite requests are sent to the embassy by the NVC.. It is up to the embassy if they want to expedite your case, not the NVC. Since you already got a checklist, it may take some time for the NVC to find your paperwork. You might be better off just sending in your checklist items and waiting. The expedite request won't slow down your process but it has to be a "valid" reason..
