Hello all,

I have only traveled international air travel once. I found that Emirates offers the flight from Dubai to Dallas for about $300 less if the trip starts from Doha.

Could we buy that trip and only take the last leg from Dubai to Dallas? Will the airline cancel the entire trip if my fiancé isn't on the Doha flight? I have no experience in this. Thank you for the information.

Emirates will cancel your entire trip if you miss the Doha-Dubai leg; you'll be considered a "no-show" and they will cancel the remaining Dubai-Dallas leg. Like another poster mentioned, I strongly suggest using Google Flights to find the best deal.

Thank you. Yes, I was using Kayak too. Poop. I was hoping to avoid a trek all over Asia and into Europe. More research... Oy vey! I am trying to determine if he would need a French transit visa since the "international" zone might not apply to Afghanis in some airports. "Dear God! Not ANOTHER visa!! NOOOOOOO!!!!!"

Please forgive me, but where do I check where people are getting their NOA2 approved? I just want to keep a watch on how things are coming.

I can't get to the link on the mobile site, but if you go to the immigration time lines tab at the top, then click the "Igor's List" on the inner blue links towards the upper right hand (but below the VJ headers), you should get to the TSC list. You can select CSC or separate the TSC from approved and pending cases. Note that not all people update their timeline and some say they are TSC just because they sent the petition to the Texas lockbox. So some of the cases you need to see if they are really a TSC filer or not. It's still a useful tool, though.

I travelled to Malaysia over the weekend and my fiance had his interview today. The process before the interview was a bit annoying and hectic. But the interview itself lasted about 5 minutes. The lady was American and incredibly nice. The only question she asked us was: "How did you two meet?" And only because we both mentioned we were born and raised in UAE. She thought our love story was adorable!

His visa was approved and he should receive it in a few days, she said.

You can apply a few days after you arrive for a SSN which gives time for your record to be updated in SAFE. You will not be allowed to work on that number till you complete the AOS. But, having the SSN will allow you to apply for other government processes.

More information here.

Hello Everyone!

My fiance and I sent out I-129 form in March to the Texas Service Center, accepted March 20th, now waiting. Can anyone update me on processing/waiting times for march applicants? Anyone here also have a fiance from Ukraine? Can anyone gives tips/recommendations about the Kyiv Embassy? I'm an American and I have been living/working here for a while now. finally decided its time to move back to the states.

Congrats! Your interview took a long time too!! It looks like our petitions were at NVC on the same time - I was wondering the status of your case.

The TSC is getting there, but slowly. You can search through the "Immigration Timelines" thread to get VJ estimates and other TSC filer case status. However, you may also want to join this thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/541580-i-129f-filers-march-2015-noa1-date-tsc-only/page-19

That link will bring you to the latest page, but someone got approved from our March team!!!!! While TSC is still working on Jan-Feb (and probably some Dec!!!), March cases may get in early too! Hopefully your wait is less and less now!!!

Hello Everyone!

I have another question and it is in regards to the I-134 affidavit of support. Did I need to send that document in with my K! visa application packet? Or do I just give that to the embassy when we have the interview? I read online on different websites that the I-134 just needs to be used at the embassy, not the USCIS process itself....please help! Because I am actually very worried that I messed up the application since I didn't send in the 1-134 page. USCIS did accept my application in march, but will not having the affidavit of support hurt our chances?
