Just sat on hold with the NVC for over 50 minutes, but when I finally spoke to someone she told me they received our packet on 4 May but there is no case number assigned. I'll call back tomorrow. :)

Wow! Congratulations!

I guess I'll call NVC next week, probably they'll have my number assigned by then since it took yours one and a half week to arrive. :)

  • Met: August 13th, 2010 month later decided to start relationship
  • Proposed - Jabuary, 2015
  • Decided to apply for k-1 visa - March, 2015
  • Sent I-129f to USCIS - March 27th, 2015
  • Got notification on I-129f - March 31st, 2015
  • NOA1 - April 7th, 2015
  • NOA 2 - April 30th, 2015
  • NOA 2 (hardcopy) - May 4th, 2015
  • NVC - May 13th, 2015
  • case sent to the embassy - May 15th, 2015
  • Ready to schedule an interview in embassy (on CEAC) - May 19th, 2015
  • Documents arrived to Russia and can physically schedule an interview - June 3rd, 2015
  • Interview (!!!!!) - June 11th, 2015 (neither approved or denied)
  • Administrative Processing - from 11th of June to July 15th

Green card:

  • Sent i-485, August 7th, 2015
  • Notification that they received it - August 13th, 2015
  • Noa-1 Sent to us - (were on vacation, got it on August 22nd)
  • Fingerprint appointment - September 1st, 2015
  • Walk-in - August 24th, 2015
  • RFE - August 26th, 2015
  • RFE evidence received in USCIS - September 14th, 2015

By they, I'm just curious. I did not receive any texts and/or emails about NOA-2 (just the hardcopy and checked the USCIS website everyday), is it normal? Because I received texts and emails when I got NOA-1.

I'm the petitioner

  • Met: August 13th, 2010 month later decided to start relationship
  • Proposed - Jabuary, 2015
  • Decided to apply for k-1 visa - March, 2015
  • Sent I-129f to USCIS - March 27th, 2015
  • Got notification on I-129f - March 31st, 2015
  • NOA1 - April 7th, 2015
  • NOA 2 - April 30th, 2015
  • NOA 2 (hardcopy) - May 4th, 2015
  • NVC - May 13th, 2015
  • case sent to the embassy - May 15th, 2015
  • Ready to schedule an interview in embassy (on CEAC) - May 19th, 2015
  • Documents arrived to Russia and can physically schedule an interview - June 3rd, 2015

Finally!!! Just checked our USCIS status and we are approved!!! 6 days after they received our response to RFE... One step closer...... Goodluck to the rest of March filers who are still waiting for their approval :)

Good news on the Cherry Blossoms RFE situation. I received noticed today at 8:30pm that my petition has been approved. It was a great relief to see that email. I'm positive that you will receive your NOA 2 soon. Congratulations to everyone who has received NOA 2 and I wish Good Luck to all who are still waiting. :)

Thats good news. I just checked your timeline and your RFE reply was about a week ahead of mine. Mine was on 4/22, so its about 2 weeks and counting since they notified me that they got it. If my math is correct, yours took about 3 weeks. I'm hoping mine is sooner (like today) but we'll see.

I'm curious how they handle the RFE process. Not sure if they put you back at the end of the line or if you get squeezed back in. Sort of like at DMV. If you forgot something in your car and have to get back in line, you go to the end. If you get to the window and they need something extra signed, filled out, etc, they usually set you aside and let you back in after you complete what they want done. So, not sure how they handle it.

Regardless, congrats and good to see the Cherry Blossoms/RFE's going through

What I had to do, after I had my USCIS receipt number, was create an account on USCIS and turn on my e-notifications - again. When I created the account, the email and text were set to N. I had to check the Y boxes. Crazy that the e-notification form only works for one step, huh? I received the NOA2 notification via text and email.

Congrats to all who got their noa2s and goodluck to those who have upcoming interview.

Update about our case. We received the rfe letter 5 days ago, they need more evidence on how we established our relationship. My fiance plan to mail our response on Monday.

List of things we will send:

> Boarding passes

> Copy of passport stamp

> Full statement of how we met and outline of how we spent time together

> Pictures

> Screen shots from fb of his trip here in my country

> Chat logs

Please share what else we can add more.Thank u. Unfortunately we didn't able to save some tickets or receipts during his trip.
